Wake Info

• The wake for Det. Todd Gillerlain is tomorrow in the 022nd District. Only family will be allowed in the funeral home. There will be a procession at 6:30 past his home and back to the funeral home. We know that the media trolls and the neighborhood Karens’ will be looking for a “gotcha” moment of police congregating. I and most of my fellow police officers in 022 think that the rules in effect are overblown political gamesmanship. Not saying that it’s imminent, but a policeman’s funeral is no place to send a message. All this being said, our Commander is a very good guy and 100% pro police and we don’t want him to receive any unnecessary grief from the media, the neighborhood complainers or the politicians. Please stay in your cars and adhere to the bs social distancing guidelines.
