- Los Angeles County’s stay-at-home restrictions will likely last for three more months to combat the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, county public health Director Barbara Ferrer said at Tuesday’s Board of Supervisors meeting.
“Based on all of the data that we’re looking at … we know with all certainty that we’ll be extending health officer orders for the next three months,” she said.
Remember when the politicians and doctors were telling everyone that heat and sunlight were deadly enemies of the virus? It had to be way back in 2020 or so. There are dozens of articles out lately that say Vitamin D is key to maintaining health against the virus. Vitamin D - the "sunlight vitamin" that everyone in the northern hemisphere seems to lack right about now?
Does anyone else know a better place to get plenty of heat and sunlight than a California beach? We think someone wrote songs about it....Sand Lads....Beach somethings..... You'd think that doctors would be encouraging everyone to go out in the sun and get a little exercise. But that wouldn't be politically expedient.

Yesterday, I got tired of sitting at home.
Drove to Indiana for lunch.
Very pleasant experience.
Did not need gas, but thought it would be nice to deprive Fatass of the taxes.

Why do you stay there? My parents lived in California in the late 50's, before I was born. They lived in Long Beach and almost right on the beach. They said it was very nice back then. I've heard many middle class people are fleeing the state due to the cost of living. Many of them moving to Texas, something that state doesn't need. Every place they move to gets ruined, i.e. Oregon, Washington and Colorado. Even if I was very wealthy I still wouldn't relocate to California. You have some horrible politicians, just like Ill-inois.
Our lakefront being closed is something that could unite Liberal,Conservative and Communist. There’s strength in numbers and a march on the lake needs to happen, “Who’s Lake Our Lake!”
Wuhan was on Lockdown for exactly 2 mos 2 days. AND ALL of china was not affected....ITALY lockdown is so far 2 Mos and 4 days and if you research ALL of italy was not affected...BUT here in the USA most of the country is affected and still on lockdown with no end in sight...is something wrong here? I’m intrigued to see how far this will be pushed. Because I think we all have the same thought. You tell a bunch of people who only get nice weather 3 months a year, that they can’t go outside for those 3 months and just go from one winter to the next, you’re going to have problems. I think once this weather is consistently hitting warm temps, there’s nothing anyone is going to be able to do to stop people from enjoying the summer. We have to reopen the country. Will the case count spike? Absolutely. Will more people die of it? Absolutely. But we are stuck between a rock and a hard place. You have to pick one. Open the country, bear down, grit your teeth and let’s weather the storm. Instead of dragging it out for 12+ months and wrecking the world economy even more. Sure, you didn’t get the virus this summer, but you died from being homeless in the winter.

No point in fleeing California. My wife is from here and she aint leavin. She's already turning my daughter into a California girl. Plus, I still got 26 years, 10 months, and 15 days till I can retire with my pension and go fishing. If I'm gonna live in a liberal hell hole, might as well be here.
