He's Baaaaack?

The other day, we poked fun at a ridiculous rumor about cancelled days off, cancelled furloughs and twelve hour days through the end of the year. That was just a little too unbelievable. These rumors have popped up in the comments and are a tiny bit more believable, even if they seem far-fetched:

• (rumor #1) City Hall and a clueless subservient 35th Street are in full panic mode as of Jan,Feb of 2021 we will be losing thousands of officers to retirement. They were caught off guard though by unsuspected retirements with officers that don’t have the age or time just packing it in. By Mar 2021 we will be so dangerously short, at the time of this writing, 1,800 officers with another 500 rumored ready to push the button. The Mayor was told the ONLY remedy in 2021 will be the 12 hour day, mandatory OT and extremely limited time off. Basically you will work 12 hour days and could be subjected to another 8 hour extension. She was shown other models submitted from other much smaller departments which will be used as the template for the changes. She is still doing everything in her power to fire anyone stripped and civilianize the 311 Center with her people. Our contract isn’t even anywhere near her radar, and knows we lack a backbone to force one.

This is a more believable rumor when you consider the Department is coming up on a couple of big waves of Officers reaching the 20, 25 and 30 year marks, always a decision point for many individuals. And with the current attitudes toward police, twenty-and-out looks better than twenty-five and thirty years.

• (rumor #2) As if things aren’t bad enough the Mayors new tirade is against the 311 Callback Center. She wants the center to be staffed by civilians and any light duty officers put in a pool to work district desks, lock ups or watch cameras. She also, against the advice of basically her Chief of Staff and inner circle is advocating for, GET THIS, layoffs. She hates us so very much she said, “CPD doesn’t do shit anyway and if she’s laying off actual productive workers and the cops complain then maybe they should pick up a shovel and do work like a real man.” If you do any proactive police work you are a fool. Her goal for her second term is to have manpower down to 6-7,000 PO’S working 12 hour days. Welcome to a full blown Marxist Workers Paradise.

Obviously, a second attempt by the same person. Emphasis on the 12-hour-day scare tactic, Reduction-in-Force speculation, buttressed by using Groot's well known and always-on-display disdain for the very people who keep her dumbass safe.

This one is closest to the truth that we've heard here and elsewhere:

• There was a post yesterday about the supposed crazy conversations on the 5th Floor and 35th Street and 12hr days and days off cancelled until basically Christmas yada yada yada met with skepticism. Well Boys and Girls I’m on the inside looking out of this crap and it’s even worse. A very nervous and angry Greater Mich Ave Merchants Assoc have been told by the Usual Suspects of BLM, Antifa etc to prepare for chaos until Biden is seated no exceptions. They have instructed their stores merchandise buyers to basically not have any stock in their Mich Ave stores. Our panicked department has through back channels, reached out to The Feds and get 0 response from the Federal Gov’t who have bluntly informed all Mayors that were foolish enough to turn on the President they are on their own.(Case In point Groot whining about no Fed$$$) Expect Red State cities and Reagan Democratic cities to have any violence immediately and swiftly put down. We could conceivably be in a Civil War on our streets from Nov4th until the day, hopefully President Trumps raises his right hand sometime in early 2021. Expect last summer on steroids in NY, Chicago,Portland, Seattle,SF and poor Austin Texas, expect talk of, get this, some crazed states threatening to secede from the union.start preparing now kids no help is coming and our own neighborhoods could be targeted.

Anyone paying attention has noted a decided reduction in protests, riots and lighting things on fire - aside from Portland which is a basket case regardless. They haven't gone away. They've gone underground, prepping for November. This writer gets the cities correct, the refusals for Federal aid correct and some from friends of ours, exactly what the Michigan Avenue store owners are saying behind the scenes. 

Big rumor is they've hired back Steve Georgas as a "consultant" for the Election Day planning and he's charging them a pretty penny for the services. Hopefully, Groot is listening and not dishing it to the incompetent morons she left in charge last time.
