Media Lies Again (Still)

Remember, guns are bad. Therefore increased gun ownership is bad:

  • More than half of American voters -- 52% -- say they or someone in their household owns a gun, per the latest NBC News national poll.

That's the highest share of voters who say that hey or someone in their household owns a gun in the history of the NBC News poll, on a question dating back to 1999.

In 2019, 46% of Americans said that they or someone in their household owned a gun, per an NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll. And in February 2013, that share was 42%.

That article is from late 2023, but the trend hasn't changed.

But then this article was written just the other day by the Commie News Network:

  • Violent crime dropped by more than 15% in the United States during the first three months of 2024, according to statistics released Monday by the FBI.

The new numbers show violent crime from January to March dropped 15.2% compared to the same period in 2023, while murders fell 26.4% and reported rapes decreased by 25.7%. Aggravated assaults decreased during that period when compared to last year by 12.5%, according to the data, while robberies fell 17.8%.

After all, there's an election to win for president sheet-my-pants, and you can't have the electorate believing all those crime stories about blue state shitholes being overrun by illegal alien crime along with the usual suspects.

Of course, you have to read past the headline to find this little tidbit that we've written about more than once:

  • The numbers released Monday were gathered from 13,719 of the just over 19,000 law enforcement agencies from across the country, according to the bureau.

So they're telling you only 72% of the story, seeing as how 28% of the law enforcement agencies didn't send in their crime numbers. And among those agencies that didn't send in crime numbers?

  • New York
  • Los Angeles
  • Chicago

The three biggest blue city shitholes who have crime numbers that dwarf those of entire states.

But hey, crime is down nationally. Don't believe what your own eyes are telling you.

Na, this government is a fraud. The stupid president thinks he'll win a second term, yeah right. He is as smart as the French PM sending French troops into Ukraine, that's why France went right for dumbshit like that next to the migrants invasion of Europe. Smart Americans can see through the bs and have decided to arm themselves than rely on law and order to protect them, rightfully so.

And those are just the people who ADMITTED to owning firearms.

Like my (liberal democrat) neighbor. He said to me one day, “I don't like guns.” A few months later, he admitted to owning one, so his original statement actually means, “I don't like OTHER PEOPLE owning guns.”

It’s amazing how anybody vote democratic. We all know they steal the votes but anyone that consciously bones democratic totally delusional definitely needs to be put in a mental institution.

I am glad crime is down. Now I can leave my door unlocked like we did 50 years ago. Life is changing back to the way it was in the 1950’s … when people respected one another just like Mayberry. Thank you President Sheet-In-My-Pants. Is Cardinal Cupish opening churches for all the saintly people who are rushing back to church on Sundays too? Ahhh … what a Utopia Chicago is becoming again.

Many get sucker punched downtown, victims of strong arm robbery, women groped fail to report crimes.
Chicago is not safe.

Crime is up. Respect for the law is down nationally. The media in this country has replaced the "rule of Law" for a "virtue signaling feel good interpretation" of the law.

Things are upside down and sideways. These are interesting times. Act accordingly officers. May G-d have mercy on us all...

Glock, Ruger, Colt, Smith & Wesson. There are others but you need to know about firearms before you choose. Then go to a range and practice a lot. Teach your kids to respect firearms and keep your weapon in a safe place, preferably in a loaded condition. Quick access is of utmost importance.

Now that I am retired, I consider that "If I really need a gun to go where I am going, I need to ask myself, if I really need to go there...

Hope that helps...

Ps. If you live in Chicago, get a C.C. permit

I remember a gun ownership poll taken in the 1960s where something like 55% admitted to having firearms in the household. Admitted. Most pollsters conceded that the actual ownership rate was at least 10 points higher.

Given the tremendous numbers of guns sold during the Obama and Buydumb administration the number of households with guns is probably higher. But it is not considered socially acceptable to own guns so the numbers are lower.

I would like to see the number of Park Ridge households that have firearms and admit to it.

8:23 AM, Female home defense weapons: This would depend on your strength (particularly hand / wrist), your home construction, and your likely threats.
Apartments with thin walls favor shotguns with small shot (#6) to avoid overpenetration. For smaller women, a shorter barrelled 20 gauge might be a good choice.
If your home is seperate, and hard walled, a 16" barrel 5.56 AR pattern rifle might be a good choice. Pistols are more concealable, but take more strength and training to use well.
The first thing to do to prepare for self-defense is mental preparation. You must be willing to risk taking another persons' life to protect you and yours. My analysis was that if all I ever did in my life was support myself through my own effort and commit no crimes, that my life was worth more to Civilization than would be the life of of someone willing to kill me to take what I have.
Best is to live where criminals are not as present and are not a protected class.
Good luck. John in Indy

Neither too big, nor too small.

Neither too cumbersome to handle, nor too tiny to get a solid grip on.

Neither too potent to endure the recoil, nor too feeble to even be aware you pulled the trigger.

Neither too loud to not disturb the neighbors, nor too soft to barely be noticed by your uninvited visitor(s).

Also, it may be pertinent to be neither too outrageously flamboyant, nor absurdly demure.

And it must fit snuggly, yet not too snuggly, within your holster of choice, thus, neither too long nor too short.

In the heat of the moment, neither too smooth to not become too slippery, nor too rough to be not painful to keep on gripping.

The best for you is one that you find that you can reliably handle without undue strain.

I just repaired a rifle with a broken (plastic) trigger guard. When the guard broke, the rifle became non-functioning. By replacing the plastic pieces with a guard made from aluminum, I'm keeping a rifle "in circulation, on the streets". That said rifle is a .22lr plinker will not make a bit of difference to those who seek to deny basic civil rights.

Crime is down because Murder City is selectively reporting crimes in an accurate manner. Democrats use their best tools in their playbook - the lie. Works for them and is aided and abetted by the media. The open secret is Democrats, media and lies is their success model. Credit should also be given to all the folks on the political plantation who mindlessly vote for the Dems.

The best stats are the stats that are given to the public by officialdom because they are the
official keeper of the numbers. Just remember negative stats and facts just get in the way of generating a positive narrative.

Depends on several factors:

1) The female's physical characteristics. Arm/hand strength, hand size, finger length, weight, height.

2) The female's mental capabilities. Can she make her peace with having to kill someone that is intending to do her or her loved one's grevious bodily harm? Can she pull the trigger in such an instance? Because if she can't, then the bad guy is likely to take that gun from her and used it against her and her loved ones.

3) The physical characteristics of the home. If the hallways or doorways are narrow, then a rifle or shotgun is going to require different methods of carrying and utilizing the weapon while moving around the property.

4) Lighting: The use could be during a well-illuminated or not-so-well-illuminated period of time. Depending upon the firearm utilized, it may be able to support a light, perhaps not. If not, then you may decide that you want one for use during those not-so-well-illuminated periods of time, and that will require a different method of holding and utilzing a firearm.

Go to a gun store, hold several firearms, see how they fit the female's hand. See if she can reach the trigger with her finger. Have her pull the trigger several times, see how it feels to her finger, how far the pull is before the trigger 'breaks'. Depending upon the firearm - have her release a magazine, rack the slide, load some cartridges into the magazine, insert a magazine.

Find one that fits well, is easy to operate, that she can load, carry easily.

Once she buys it, have her acquire sufficient amounts of ammunition. Both "carry", and "range" ammo. Have her practice regularly with it. Go take some training courses, and pray that she never has to use it, but remain content with the knowledge that she can do so should the need arise.

Do New Orleans or Memphis report their crime stats to the FBI?

I suspect part of the reason "crime is down" is there isn't much point in calling the cops if you have a Soros installed DA in your area.

A friend of mine cashed in his 401k right before Covid and bought ARs and ammo. During Covid, he sold package deals, lessons, an AR, and 1000rds. The majority of his customers were black people that were looking for self defense options.

Biden made the F15 threat again. Does that fucking retard understand that F15 pilots and their families have to live in this country, as do the maintainers and ground crew? How would that work? I’ll bet that most st, if not all fighter pilots were raised in a two parent, Repub home and all own firearms.

Most people have no clue how many guns are in private hands in the USA. Think about from 1620 forward to present how many that could be. If you check BATFEs web page and look at the stats from the last four years tens of millions of firearms have been purchased. Billions if not trillions of rounds of ammunition are in private hands.
