Bad news and good news....and a bit of bad news again.
First bad news....you have to hear about supernintendo Johnson's johnson again:
- The pension board meeting on Thursday was a mess due to one particular case. The case in question concerned PO Cynthia Donaldson, Eddie Johnson’s side piece. Donaldson had been gifted ordinary disability previously because of the “PTSD she now suffers from due to being the victim of a sexual assault for three years at the hands of the then superintendent.”
This was actually said at a Pension Board hearing. Working in a building full of cops, just down the hall from Human Resources and Internal Affairs ("affairs"....snicker) unable to approach a single co-worker or supervisor regarding an alleged three-year-sex assault that took place in the building, in the superintendent's vehicle, and on trips with the superintendent?
- Donaldson and her private attorney were arguing and pleading for over two hours to have them approve her for full duty disability. The new guy on the pension board ended up telling Donaldson, “If you were a CSA and rape victim then I think the first thing we need to do is file a police report.” Donaldson wanted NO part in that. Donaldson was asked to return to work in which she flat out responded with “no”.
Sure. Because a case report would lead to a trial. And trials involve discovery. And discovery involves depositions. And depositions would reveal the completely voluntary nature of the three-year "sex assault" that resulted in numerous days off, reduced working hours, dinners, dancing, air travel and hotel stays. Cops are a jealous bunch and the line to provide testimony would take a few years to go through. And then Eddie would have a pretty good shot at a counter suit for tens of millions.
Now, the good news:
- In the end, her duty disability was DENIED.
Thank goodness for that. Now if only they could revisit the original "duty disability."
And finally, a bit of bad news:
- It’s a shame they allowed her to waste so much time because the other cases on the agenda were pushed to next month’s meeting. The Board only meets once a month, so now because of this shitshow, legit injured cops will suffer another month with no money, no health insurance and essentially in fear of how to survive.
Perhaps one of the injured parties has a legit lawsuit against Donaldson and her lawyer for presenting a flawed (and bullshit) case to the Pension Board?

Pride parade progressively gets worse and worse every year. A lot of the blame is on poor leadership. What happened today especially in the evening was ridiculous. The brass had no plan, and a ton of coppers were left without effective supervisors. Cops got hurt and fatigued. What highlighted today, was a gloom outlook of the DNC. Are we surprised ? No.

Women like this are an insult to the many hard working female police officers who would never do this. Unfortunately, there are way too many women who are eager to use their sex to obtain benefits. A male supervisor should lose their job if they have an affair with a women in his chain of command, much like private industry and the military. Johnson was and is a disgrace to the uniform and to his oath of office. The police department needs to make this very clear that this type of behavior will stop.

The Chicago Police Department is implementing a new district and watch-based overtime initiative in District Law Enforcement. This initiative will allow for greater flexibility in granting elective time to FTOs and Officers on the watch and will allow Officers and FTOs to voluntarily work their regularly scheduled days off. This program will be closely monitored at both the District and Area levels. It is incumbent on the districts to administrate this program in an efficient manner that does not violate the contractual provisions regarding seniority in the collective bargaining agreement with the Fraternal Order of Police, Loage #7.
Until this point, Watch Operations Lieutenants were authorized to allow up to 15% of the Officers on their watch to utilize elective time on a given day. With the new initiative, Watch Operations Lieutenants will be authorized to allow up to 30% of the Officers on their watch to utilize elective time, so long as day-to-day operations are not impacted. This additional 15% will allow Officers to use their accumulated compensatory time, personal days, baby furlough days, and unused vacation days.
This initiative only applies to District Law Enforcement. Only full-duty Officers and FTOs assigned to First, Second, or Third Watch may participate. Members of tactical and mission teams assigned to the Fourth Watch and DCO Program Officers - not specifically assigned to First, Second, and Third watches - may not participate in this initiative.
Probationary Police Officers with less than 18 months time-in-service also may not participate in the initiative. Officers on suspension, summary punishment, restricted duty, or limited duty are ineligible to participate.
District Commanders will authorize Officers who are on their regularly scheduled days off to work if elective time would be denied to another Officer, up to the 30% stated above so long as there are District or Area level volunteers who are willing to work their regularly scheduled day off. In other words, at any point elective time must be denied to any Officer up to the 30% threshold, the terms of this initiative will apply.
All elective time must be submitted no later than 14 days prior to the date being requested, including personal days. Additionally, any decision to deny or approve elective time must be made at least seven days prior to the specific date by a Watch Operations Lieutenant. These are changes from current policy of a seven or ten day notice of the intent to use elective time and the three day notice to deny time, and applies solely to District Law Enforcement. Other elective time requests may still be submitted after the 14 day deadline, however the 30% limit will be adhered to. Requests that fall under the 30% may be considered based on operational needs regardless of the availability of volunteers.
Volunteering to work regularly scheduled days off will proceed in the following manner:

My car got kicked and dented by Critical massholes when I was coming home from work at 12:30am. It was a month into St. George Floyd riots and I had no idea what was going on- they surrounded my car, nobody else in site & held me up at a light thru 3 changes. I had my car surrounded and one had his boot on the hood. Bc of riots etc, I kept my uniform covered…I called 911 & let’s just say the police response was less than stellar- especially the supervisor. There was video at the red light- all of it got ignored. Instead, I had to do my own follow up to find the guy who threatened me & dented my car was convicted of battery, dv etc. Thanks for nothing 024 th district.

Here’s more to the order… it’s hanging in every wol office in every district.
In order to qualify all elective time must be submitted no later than 14 days prior to the date being requested, including personal days. Additionally, any decision to deny or approve elective time must be made at least seven days prior to the specific date by a Watch Operations Lieutenant. These are changes from current policy of a seven or ten day notice of the intent to use elective time and the three day notice to deny time.
Watch Operations Lieutenants will not approve an elective time request in the Clearnet system past the "submitted" status until they determine whether elective time requests are going to be denied and backfill volunteers will be required. The reason for this is that according to the agreement with the FOP, "[olnce granted, time due shall not be revoked or denied." Processing an elective time request past the "submitted" status will be taken as an approval.
This initiative will go into effect 7 January 2021.
It’s only been in effect for 3 years, why would we expect our chief of patrol to know actual thee most basic patrol things.

Ah yes another happy tax payer. Thieves huh? Take a closer look at all these Democrats you keep electing, they're stealing millions of dollars every year. And by the way I did save, my deferred comp/401k is worth millions. The pension is just walking around money.
