Win Some, Lose Some

Should have been "Win Two," but it wasn't:

  • As the Illinois Appellate Court weighs arguments over the future of police discipline in Chicago, two rulings by the Chicago Police Board have been bolstered by Cook County judges.

In one case, decided last month, Cook County Judge Michael Mullen denied an effort by Chicago police Superintendent Larry Snelling to impose discipline on an officer, [...], whom the board cleared of wrongdoing in 2023. [The officer] had faced administrative charges for his role in a chaotic arrest during the riots and unrest of summer 2020 in the wake of George Floyd’s murder by a Minneapolis police officer.

It was the first time since 2015 that the city’s top cop filed a complaint for administrative review against the police board. Snelling said the board’s findings “are not supported by the record, are clearly erroneous, and/or are against the manifest weight of the evidence.”

In the other case, ruled on in late October, Cook County Judge David Atkins upheld the police board’s decision to fire a sergeant who was involved in the February 2019 raid at the home of social worker Anjanette Young. Court records show the sergeant, [...], is now appealing the Circuit Court decision.

So in Case #1, Larritorious went against the recommendation of the Police Board, who called the effort "not supported...erroneous....unsupported by evidence." Who the f#$% would ever trust an a$$hole who was not just wrong, but wholly wrong. No wonder he was at the front of the line stripping officers for refusing the poison jab - Larritorious is a f#$%ing tool.

In Case #2, remember who the informant was who fed the team the info that was presented to AND approved by a Cook County judge? He was in a car owned by Yolanda Talley, driven by her niece, transporting heroin on the west side....and the sergeant is to blame? Aren't there supposed to be lieutenants, captains, commanders, deputy chiefs and a representative from the Chaplains Ministry on the scene of search warrants to make sure everything is properly punctuated, grammatically correct and righteous in the eyes of God?

Many ask why any cop would do a street stop in this atmosphere.

Add to that, why would anyone do a search warrant under these circumstances either?
