They were fixing the sergeant results and then they had to fix the ex results. They only have a few blue haired feminist and some government ladies working on fixing the results so it takes time.

The Officers who did well congratulations! That’s the good news! The bad news the ET Unit is a shell of its former self. The crumbling unit that has been mismanaged for years.
ET here; wait to the new ET’s come in and after about six months say they are afraid to go out by them selves the Lt’s move them inside.
The ET job isn’t the same job it was 15 years ago. Total shit show. Good luck to all that take it. I was able to retire as a Det. Just treat it as a stepping stone.

Congratulations and best of luck to all who take it. The Forensic Services Unit has a bunch of clicks with inside and outside people. Nothing like the TV shows. Most of the Sgt’s were never a ET and the ones who were think they know everything. Most have big heads and think they were the best the department has ever had. The last Lt D.J. inappropriately touched the cleaning lady on several occasions. She complained and they moved her to other parts of the building. The women of the unit still interacted with him because he was the boss. I felt so bad for her and can’t believe other women would be like that. Place is messed up and bosses are strange and all about them selves. If I wasn’t working inside I would leave the place. Talking about co-workers is the past time. The place is full of gossip!
The top 10 are all DEI hires. Thats what took so long....

ET's are pretty useless. had them on some jobs. I could see clear prints visible, yet they'd refuse to check them.
Sounds like you need to give up working "inside" and help your fellow ETs in the field, or go back to patrol. You’re occupying a spot. It's not worth being so dejected. Oh yeah, you would "leave the place" if you weren't taken care of, unless this is part of your twisted sarcasm. Instead, you chime in on this blog to gossip! (“The place is full of gossip!”) Wow. It's a great unit with a couple of good training opportunities that you can take with you after you retire. Positive changes are coming to this unit.

We all know that the waiting for so long is bullshit. They are scantron test sheets. The results should have been made available the very next day.
For whatever reason CPD held back the results. There is NO other conclusion. I do not trust the people that make the decisions in CPD. They are all full of shit.
Hah.. sounds like every unit on the police department. That shits everywhere and you cannot let it affect you. This is a job. You take positions that give you more flexibility, better schedules, (more days off) and more money (bigger pension check). Fuck everything else!

well, you see it's like this,,,,, first the test goes to the deputy superintendent to look at and then it goes to the assistant deputy superintendent and then it goes to the assistant to the assistant deputy superintendent and then it goes to the chief and then it goes to the assistant to the chief and then it goes to the commander and then it goes to the captain and then it goes back up to the chief of dei who then gives it to the assistant to the chief of equity and inclusion who then gives it to the assistant to the mayor who then gives it to the mayor to approve only those "certain" officers
I’ve been an ET for over 10 years. Still won’t leave here til I retire. Used to be a huge shitshow when HK was running the show eventhough he was nothing more then an officer like all other ETs. He took advantage of a guy in a wheelchair. HK was hated by everyone cause all he did was Stuff his pockets and get a fatter belly and crap on the working ETs. These days much better atmosphere and if we had more ETs to add to the field, it’ll be the spot to be in. Only thing wrong here now is still part of HK in the unit who is a Sgt who is light duty but makes 300k and talks about everyone behind the back but nice to their face. Was a good guy when we made ET but he got stripes and in the biggest jagoff around. Congrats new ETs you will love this spot

I work here and half the people don’t know much about forensics. I’ve learned more about forensics watching CSI. I think I know who you are and you don’t have 10 years on! The units need real leadership and stand up Officers.
There is no test on this job that is 100% fair.
I’m sure the last time the unit was in its prime was in the 70’s and 80’s. The department was going under in the 90’s and beyond.
Politics got her where she’s at. Not knowledge. But she will leave with a rockstar pension. That needs to change. The Gold Braid pension needs to end.

The unit is a complete joke. Bulnes ruined the place. She turned in into ALEA and put all DEI in charge and in all inside positions. Lt DJ. Was an ass Kissing clown. When he was a sgt there he would sleep all night. He comes back as a LT and puts a bunch of useless babies inside. The unit is full of hacks. They can’t spell forensics let alone process a crime scene. The murder clearance rate is so low because the ET’s cannot process a scene. They cry on there radio and the SGTS cancel jobs. They don’t go to burglaries they complain about finding evidence and have to be told what to recover on crime scenes. You don’t need ETS detectives can collect the evidence themselves.
Bulnes is the typical boss who should have never been promoted. Lucky to even be the POLICE!
The test is fixed. The clown crew could not get a test written so the Dept. had to get an outside group to write an exam. Then the exam was normed based on Demographics i.e. race. They make a list for every category male, female, female black, female Hispanic, male Hispanic, then they try to thrown out questions that will help out certain demographics. Once they get as many DEI officers in the top 100 they release the results. It is a crime. They would rather have a certain type processing a crime scene than the best officer. Crime will continue and the clearance rate will keep going lower. In the near future civilians will be processing crime scenes and working in all the inside lab position in forensics. Way to go BULNES, you got the lab you wanted.
ET’s are pretty useless! They need to hire civilians to do the job. It should be civilized with real college requirements. Women are more detailed orientated. It’s a fact. Not old men who have reading glasses and aren’t detailed orientated. Don’t get mad and just telling the truth. Facts.

I’ve been the real police the past 4 years on Tact and been told I got a merit spot coming to me. Can I still run and gun between jobs? I like working that’s who I am.
Just a word of advice. Just because a boss says he’s putting you in for merit doesn’t always mean it’s going to work out. So don’t tell everyone and buy the white shirts. Strange things happen all the time.

Consent decree says approximately 18 months for a finalized list. Another violation by HR. They tried rushing those Srg exam results out in 5 months. Consent decree violation. No merit packets yet?

I sincerely hope the above is a joke. In the instance that it is not, do not brag and be proud of yourself. You could not pass any promotion test, so some moron has to gift you the position? Little Village has no reason to be proud of you. You also aren't going to be "in charge", even if the Department gives you a stolen promotion spot, asshat. Further, you can't write a simple thought, how could you ever approve a report? Again, I hope this was written to mock someone.
Women are more "detailed oriented" is a fact? I'm not sure you know what a fact is. A generalization about an entire gender being superior to the opposite gender at anything, let alone something as subjective as being more "detail-oriented," is absolutely not a fact. Did you hear someone say that once and you just decided to believe it? Saying "facts" after saying something stupid doesn't magically make it a fact.
