Can anybody verify the tow driver being caught stripping a vehicle which was ordered towed for a trap investigation? A new hummer left the station (north side) in perfect condition, arrived at the pound hours later with the roof torn out and all the drop down televisions missing. Did the tow driver get pinched?

The mob is shooting at helicopters. One pilot refused to land because of armed people on the pad. Armed folks are running around inside the Superdome. Finally the police have been pulled off "rescue" duty and told to crack down. Modern thinking has turned the police into a public service entity. Any decent street cop could have told you these people were going to act the fool. If the police had been used to control the mob from the get go, this would not have happened on this scale. I'm sure it would be the same here. We'd be filling out CAPS requests for tows while the city burned, At least old man Daley had the nuts to order looters shot.

There is not one person on the Police Department (be they black...white or whatever)who has not made a racial remark,,,there is not one person who does not have a racial bias,,,be they black..white..etc.that being said...blacks should quit acting insulted at racial remarks...and quit exploiting the situation in the hopes that they are going to gain some advantage from embracing their victimization... especially when they know that they make as many insulting, degrading racial remarks about whitey...if only at on of Farrakans church services...the black version of th KKK...and whitey should fiqure out how to deal with their own racial bias...if for no other reason than this attempt to regulate and improve yourself is what elevates us as human beings.........so both sides need to get off the shit and quit the clawing at each other...you hate each other fine....move on

You know, it’s funny. Some guys/girls throw those racist comments and actually think they’re being funny. It’s their attempt at humor. They want or need to be the life of the party, the guy that everyone likes to be around. Sure, I think they have some deep-seated issues, but after work tonight, those same idiots can realize that no matter what color the person’s skin was, what gender they prefer to have sexual relations with or what God they worship and/or pray to, they still helped the victim. I would venture a guess that 99% of the police officers (rank included) would step in and do the right thing when the time is right. There’s a 1% level of goof in every walk of life. No matter what they say here, they would help and defend a black man being beaten or robbed by a white guy. They can talk all the smack they want here – they’ll still do what’s right. To repeat what was already stated, many people have some level of bias, some to the level of bigotry but most don’t subject others to their shortcomings. Take a good look at yourselves in the mirrors boys and girls, and then ask yourself what you would do if the people you slur really need you. We all know what you would do- so it’s not funny, no one thinks you’re the cool guy for throwing the comments and slurs and everyone of us would rather put the pukes who mean what they say in with the thugs that we look to defeat every day rather than tolerate your offensive attempts at humor, hostility and ill-will.
