Pussification continues

Be sure you read our previous rant and rave below this one.

If you can look beyond the fact that Frank Main and Fran Spielman have been in the pocket of city hall for years and never hesitate to slam the police, this article in today's Slum Times actually summarizes the reverend meeks incident halfway decently until the last few paragraphs. We would also refer you to our "Archives" page in the right hand column. Go to the "July" page and scroll down to the middle of the month (it's above and below the Chappaquidick picture) and see that a month ago WE SAID that the sergeant had lost any tactical advantage in this traffic stop and there is no way we WOULDN'T have had our gun out, no way we WOULDN'T have displayed it, and no way we WOULDN'T have used some salty language. Anonymous bosses are quoted as saying that the sergeant did nothing wrong (duh) and that they are in a political bind, not being able to move forward or backward.

NEWSFLASH for BOSSES! This is what happens when you stop being the police and start being politicians/lawyers. If you never back your guys and you bend over backwards to accommodate insane amounts of political correctness, why are you surprised that you've put yourself in a corner? We are forcibly reminded of the old question "Why do the LTs and above have balls on the points of their stars?" Answer: "When they promote you, they cut yours off and put them there."

ADDITIONAL NEWSFLASH for REPORTERS! It isn't racial profiling if a white cop stops a black citizen. White police officers are actually encouraged to stop all lawbreakers. Seriously! Black cops, too. And Hispanic cops. And Oriental cops. And anyone wearing the uniform. At 116th and Kensington, what the hell else are they going to stop? If they stop whitey, trust us, THAT'S going to be racial profiling. The media is certainly doing their part in "uneducating" the public at large as to what racial profiling is and what is disheartening is there isn't anyone (especially spokespersons for the department) correcting them. But then, it's just another club they can beat you with and scare you into NOT doing police work.

We're on an elevator ride to the bottom boys and girls. Hold on tight.

First, be sure to read my post (#13) on the original "Pussification" thread re: your rights and RESPONSIBILITIES in exercising your First Amendment rights.

With total CONFIDENTIALITY assured, you, as others have done, may eMail me at:

cpdfop7@yahoo.com.

I use Caller ID. I NEVER respond to phone calls from telemarketers, "unavailable" or "private" anonymous callers.

Other initial tips:

"matters of PUBLIC concern" do not include your own PRIVATE or PERSONAL beefs with the CPD.

Under no circumstances trust the media. Our initial "savior", Peter Karl left his post as a Unit 5 investigative reporter on EXAMSCAM to "$leep with the enemy" - ho$ting "CrimeWatch" for the CPD. In effect, he tossed me to the (CPD) wolves. He never returned my phone calls after going on the city's payroll.

When in doubt , do NOT go PUBLIC without competent legal advice. I am NOT an attorney.

Do not (get caught) exercising your First Amendment rights on company time.

Document any retaliation with notes, witness(es), etc.

Avoid any act of insubordination and do NOT disrupt the legitimate operations of the CPD. Mgmt. would love to bait you into an act of insubordination.

Rather than outright separation or discharge (See Fourteenth Amendment), CPD retaliation often manifests itself as pretextual "discipline" with suspensions and general harassment to "send you a message".
Make no mistake, if they can contrive seemingly legitimate grounds, they will file for separation regardless of your outstanding and exemplary performance history.

I was initially represented in federal litigation by a man I trusted--Richard J. Brzeczek. While he will gladly concede that he was "incompetent" in allowing the two-year statute of limitations to expire before filing my lawsuit, the TRUTH is much more sinister.

I sure wish the Internet was around when EXAMSCAM occurred.

In all fairness to the son of Supt. Cline, I can relate. I spent my first three years working the streets in the violence and rioting of Fillmo'.

My late dad was an active CPD captain in an adjoining district. He didn't even want me to go on the job after college. He hinted to me that perhaps I could be reassigned from Fillmo'.

No fucking way! I loved the action and I had the best bosses in the CPD. The late Cmdr. George Sims was the best ever. Balls as big as Garfield Park.

As the Supt., Philip Cline knows criticism from all sides goes with the position. For reasons cited above, I would refrain from attacking his son. While the apparent rise of the younger Cline is indisputably meteoric. let's not hit below the belt, guys.

To the best of my knowledge, I have never met either of the Clines. I did send the Supt. a personal eMail. Essentially, it advised him to NOT take my passionate and well-deserved criticism of the clout-infested CPD as personal.

Well guys the website has finally made news. Frank Main alluded to it in his article today. I can tell you that trouble is coming. Be careful what you write.

The whole incident and the way the Sgt. is being treated is a damn shame. This isn't only happening in Chicago, it is all over the damn country. And everyone wonders why our cities are crime infested.

To the 9:57 AM anonymous poster. Can you be more specific and quote any Sun-Times (or any other media) reference to this blog site?

We wouldn't want an "anonymous" political ho attempting to chill our rights to RESPONSIBLE free speech

I read it too, It does not mention this site by name , but iit says (suntimes on-line i would never purchase that shit paper) "that police officers have been talking on-line about how they should make life hard for store detectives(ha ha ha detectivesmy ass) and that they should look for city stickers in the parking lots. check it out.

Ah, I see it now. I was reading Frank Main's article about the Meeks incident through the link on the SCC main page, not the article about the indictment of the two officers. That's why I didn't see it.

Here's the quote:

"The charges against Martinez and Guy unleashed a flurry of Internet activity by officers furious at Target and J.C. Penney for turning over their tapes to the police department. One posting called for officers to check city stickers in the stores' employee parking lots. Other messages suggested that officers make the store detectives' jobs more difficult.

Cline said he was "ashamed" by such criticism of the stores, noting that without them, the alleged abuse would not have been exposed.
"

Wait till these dopes see the fun as the mopes get their Get Out of Jail free cards and watch the stote dicks getting pinched.

I know of at least one store dick who got another job to get out of the line of fire.

Let the fun begin.

Careful now, slow down there, if we create all this ill-will with Target and JC Penney, where will Kline get all of his free suits.

A few more thoughts:

City stickers? Y'all realize this is likely to add more funds to the city coffers. Daley's friends say THANK YOU for this suggestion.

The incident in 008 is not good. Unless someone has facts that have not yet been made public, I'm not sure a knee-jerk defense has been shown to be warranted.

On the other hand, this thing on the North side is infuriating. And the moderator(s) have it right. I'm embarrassed, er, appalled that Cline is so far removed from the police that he doesn't recognize what happened as being a natural reaction anyone, including a well-trained policeman.

Y'all know that the city is losing population again at last count, right? That homicides look like they've leveled out city-wide. That block grants were cut in half this year by the White House?

These guys are embattled in the eyes of the nation, state and city eyes. They are looking for scape goats. They are looking for YOU to help divert attention.

Please do not do anything to give them reason. Don't get hurt. Obey the rules to the letter, and then some. Have contests to see which district can maintain the longest backlog while you pore over the details of every job.

But please don't do anything that lets these guys point fingers at you as violating the letter or the spirit of the law or the rules. Leave that for them.

Ya the count for homicides may have leveled off and may be down, but those are numbers that Kline's hand pick stooges give us. Why don't you check at the Det area, as to how many death investigations that they are carrying, which would have been classified as homicides pre-Kline.

Come on now, we all know that Kline doesn't get his suits from JC Penney or Target. He gets the hand me downs from Alderman Banks and trades them in for new ones.

I work in an area and can assure you no homicides are hidden as death investigations. To be blunt, I get O/T for a homicide and can run with it. Not so for a death investigation.

Your probably one of Kline's stooges there for the specific reason of holding down the homicide count.

Really. The year we were trying to keep the homicide "magic number" under 600 I saw plenty of homicides that were treated as death investigations. A woman in a gangway with her pants around her ankles and brick buried in her head. Gee, maybe it fell out of the wall while she was taking a piss.

It would be interesting to see what the raw number of "homicides" that the ME has logged, eliminate the justifiables and compare it to the numbers put out by our illustrious leader Klein.

The M.E., haha. The only thing those fuckers are any good at is stealing from the dead. There is much more competency and integrity in the D unit than there has ever been in the M.E.'s office. The subject of me classifying a murder as a death investigation has never, ever been broached. Playing with agg bat, burglary & robbery numbers are one thing. But no one is getting near a murder with a ten foot pole.

Gimme a break with raped and murdered woman being a death. First of all I bet you werwn't there. Second, how did the case end up. Please, enlighten me on the closing Sup's. Gimme a year and the six numbers from the RD and I'll read it myself. Do you think I'm putting my job on the line to cover a murder? Idiot.

I was there. It was my job. It was given out as an assist fire. I drew an R.D. for a 0110 and when I go back to work 2morrow I will get the R.D. As a matter of fact when I asked why they were changing it the dicks said, in disgust, that they were pretty much making everyting a death investigation ( by orders from above). So guess again. No, the city doesn't try to cover anything up. Tell me another one... How about the one about there being one Englewood serial Killer. By the way think you guys do an excellent job detective, that is not the issue. This is not covering up murders and it wouln't cost you your job, its just fudging numbers for Uncle Richie and friends. Quit being so dramitic.

Listen, please state what Area this homicide turned death investigation occurred. You think I give a flying f*** what the homicide rate goes to?

Maybe, just maybe, the classification was changed by the Review Office. There is a south side district where beat sergeants have asked detectives to unfound an aggravated battery by firearm by saying the victim was cut by flying glass. Ahhh, serg, even if the flying glass cut him,it was caused by the bullet.

This same district has review officers change felonies to misdemeanors all the time. So check CHRIS my friend and see who made the change. I doubt very much it was a detective.

Me thinks the Det thou protests too much. He knows as everyone else the Homicides are not classified as anything other than an open investigation in most cases a death investigation until they have an offender then its classified. Just like Mr. Klein changed the way the clearance (Homicide) rate was calculated, changed it from the way it was calculated for at least 40 years, giving him and instant 25% boost in the clearance rate. Is it true because of other creative methods of figuring that one area had a 100% clearance rate for 2004, wake up Detective. No one is saying that Homicides are changed to other crimes, there just left open until they can be counted next year for the previous year, or an offender is in custody, then counted when the media isn't paying attention to 2003 or 2004.
