- Pannell's lawyers, John Norris and Julian Falconer, argued that Pannell acted in self defense and was a victim of racist American policies and "civil liberties atrocities." The Knox shooting took place at the height of the Black Panthers movement, at a time when tensions were high between police and Chicago's black community.
This is why when "The Revolution" comes, we will be at the front of the mob, lining lawyers up against the wall. We just can't seem to find the statute that allows self defense in the SHOOTING OF POLICE OFFICERS! Can anyone?

Parnell was doing what the Panthers did best, divide the country, start a race war and harm police officers.

Robbery at 109 western,
Flash went out 2233 saw the vehicle at 103 vincennes. Pursued along with 2221 until calling off the pursuit at 71 and Damen, just after that he saw the car crash into several other cars at 69 and Damen. Offender and other bystanders were in serious condition. 007 got the arrest. Procedes and 2 pistols were recovered.

I do not work in area 1 SVU but I can tell you that they, along with all the other areas are , just like patrol, short of manpower. Areas 1 and 2 are the lowest in manpower and they process more juveniles then 3 4 and 5 combined. So do the math. Less Processors + more Juvenile arrests = longer response times. Yes there are some dog asses in the areas, also just like in patrol, but don't think that all SVU dicks sit around waiting for the chance to process your arrest. They have hand-outs and in custody jobs also to handle. If you think it is bad now just wait till they open up the processing center at the old area 3. The pilot program is going to start soon. A year from now you may be wishing it goes back to the way it was. Not complaining just explaining.

Gilhooly and Rappaport were killed while other officers shot and killed shooter Winters.

Granted the BPP's hatred of the establishment is well known, Fred Hampton and Mark Clark were executed in their beds by the CPD after being drugged by one of their own. Only one shot was atributed to Clark, which was a reflex. The rest came from the CPD.
A cover-up by the CPD, FBI and State's Attorney followed, with none of the officers ever getting convicted for anything.
In this case, at least, the CPD was wrong.
In the "pre-dawn raid" of December 4, 1969, the Panthers fired the first shot. They received a fusillade of CPD return gunfire.

When you get called for a burglary preliminary investigation, and the complainant had to wait for 2 hours, why are you late?
It goes both ways and so does the personnel shortage.
Remember not ALL SVU Detectives are assigned to process your arrestees, just like not all beat cars handle your beat.
Sometimes you have to keep cars "available" in case an emergency comes in. You would know that because you are an experienced P.O. right?
Does allocation of personnel only apply to the Patrol Bureau?
Most times you have 2 people processing for the whole area. At one time there were anywhere up to 10.
We are short all over. Deal with your wait champ. Besides its yet another opportunity for you to stay down for four hours (2 to do the paperwork and 2 to wait for SVU).
Remember you call SVU AFTER you finish your paperwork and AFTER you have the offender fingerprinted and photographed and AFTER you made reasonable attempts (and documented them) to contact the parent.
When you wait for 2 hours, I suspect you called SVU AFTER you made the arrest probably from the scene. You probably said they were fingerprinted and photographed even though no such record existed in CHRIS. You probably said the parents were notified and the paperwork was done.
Here is a hint: they don't even notify the processor until a CB number is obtained and they have been processed.
