Another Ploy?
Perhaps as an observer of the Chicago political scene for quite some time, we've just become too jaded to see clearly anymore. The Tribune reports a few days ago that the mayor will remain a southsider for the forseeable future. If we recall correctly, this was a "big deal" months ago in both papers, wondering if he'd switch baseball alliances and the like. Today, we have the following questions:
- Was this a ploy to boost sales for the "Heritage" builders?
- Who runs the "Heritage at Millenium Park?"
- What contributions have they made to various politicians?
Are we just too cynical for our own good?

There is a way to check on people donating to politicians. I have seen websites covering national elections (Fundrace.com) You can see who your neighbors have dontated to. I dont know of any local website, does anybody know?
Then all you have to do is plug in some names and see who is giving to whom.

I'm not worried about what people think of me. All i'm going to say is I speak the truth and sometimes the truth hurts.

I also live on 1631's beat and I'm also upset with their lack of service but at least I can say that I am the working police. If I see some thing wrong in the neighborhood I call 911 or try handle myself. I know everybody that lives on my block and they know me so we notice anything or anybody that looks out of place. You never related if you are the working police or where you work. I'm not saying that you have to be the police to receive good police service because all of us pay extremely high taxes and we should get something for that. Who is Sgt. "ST NE" and as far as the messy car, call them on it. I remember a couple of years ago a moron thought it would be funny to mess up are locker room. What he did not realize was that he pissed of some people that don't just complain but in fact do something about things that bother them. Boy was he surprised when he opened the door on his own vehicle. After that lesson the morn never acted up again.
