Yesterday, the F-22A Raptor became a fully operational cog in the USAF's phenomenal inventory of air superiority fighters. During combat flight exercises, a single F-22A engaged and "destroyed" EIGHT F-15C Eagles, the premier air superiority fighter in existence for about 15 years. Expect to see this aircraft perform admirably in the upcoming Syrian and Iranian Wars.

The Sgt spent a lot of time in call back before he was exonerated, and that's the only reason the dicks weren't locked up. Instead of thanking him for quashing an ugly CR# and a lawsuit one of them motherfucked him. Any other boss would have taken them both in and made them blow. But don't worry, I'm sure if they stop drinking at Ira's or Dugans and decide to spend more time in yuppie bars then they will get accustomed to working in call back.

When I got there I was given the "this ain't the west side, we deal with taxpayers" speech from every sorry fucker who'd never worked anywhere but 018. Every job was a silly ass bar fight where there was the appropriate amount of post job posing for the citizens. These same goofs who worried about the "taxpayers" proceeded to motherfuck every "taxpayer" that even mildly annoyed them. Plenty of those heroes would have ridiculous conversations with me where they babbled on about going to the ghetto to learn something, but none of them ever did it. The lure of fashion, posing, and hair gel was too much for them. I met a lot of people there who wanted to escape somewhere else, but even they bought into the attitude. After 4 periods I went back to my old district and begged the commander to take me back on management move. He let wallow for another 2 periods, but he did bring me back. That was the worst 6 months on the job. I won't even drive thru 018 when I'm off duty. That place is fucking La-La Land.
Sigh - Once again, it must be time to remind the tiny brains that this is an OPEN and PUBLIC board. Eliminate the racial invective or you're going to see it on the front page of the Times and Tribune one morning and who knows where else. Knock it off.

That makes a lot more sense! I can honestly say that almost every single off-duty incident, especially at a bar, that I have been called to, there is never any doubt that the copper was wrong. But instead of accepting that fact and thanking whoever showed up for saving thier ass, instead it's time to talk shit and tell lies.

The raptor is a remarkable craft, but for my money, I'll still take the A-10, or the F-4. There is just something about fly-by-wire that is not natural. It's not the same sensation in the air. Yes, the A-10 handles like a boat, and the F-4 is a flying brick that proves anything with enough power can fly, but they beat piloting a flying computer any day. When they grounded the last of the F-4's last year, it was indeed a very sad day. Lots of history in that one. Lots of history in the A-10, too. Working that craft brings one alot closer to the ground forces, developes a different type of pride in the pilot.

I live in 011 but I work in 008. Knock on wood, I haven't have any major problems with the shitheads where I live. I've come across some good coppers in 011 that have helped me out with a few things. Where I work is a different story. A good number of miscreants are starting to move east of Kedzie. Some of you may disagree with me but 008 is becoming busier. Some beats are the size of entire districts. I understand every district has manpower issues but if I were a copper and I lived in 008, i'd be a little upset at the city for the shortage. I can say that most coppers on nights in 008 are workers and we're doing our best to stop these shitheads. But it's like fighting a housefire with a garden hose. Ironically I feel safe living in 011 than I would in 008.

Idiot. The bar patrons and staff universally said one dick provoked and started it. The ASAs, stuck between lying for their buddies or committing perjury that could cost them their jobs took the ole "I didn't see it" stance.

Uhm, 011 and 015 are the only two that are further (more) west than 013 along Madison. Seems you've never been on the west side as the po-lice. Keep talking though. Ur very convincing.

From how I got it the ASA and other County staff was not even asked what they saw, just the Dr and the bar patrons.
Regardless, there was a time and a place when the Dr would have been locked up, but nowadays with everyone, Sgt's especially running around scared, and this one especially becaus ehe almost lost his job once, that the tie goes to the civilian.
Yeah so the Sgt. got Motherfucked, he's been a Sgt. for barely 2 years and has never been the working police anyway. The coppers didn't get motherfucked, the Sgt. made the decision and in the end everyone went their own way.
The one thing that burns me up about this department is that you cannot get three coppers to stand together on one thing let along look out for one another. When the dick go out on a police shooting their first interest is that the copper, on or off duty, is OK. Then they cut through all of the blue lights and gold stars and make sure that in the end the coppers are ok.
You don't hear of dicks getting CR #'s on other PO's, you don't hear of them counseling other PO's and you certainly don't hear them calling off chases. No apologees need to be made here, and believe me, I know them both, they are decent guys and they don't start trouble, and I think that all they wanted was some professional courtesy, but again, none was given.

While I generally agree with your goodwill sentiment, I guess maybe you had to be there to see why the beat guys didn't know what to do. As you seem to indicate, nobody wants to be bringing a badge into a station on the wrong end... that shit will turn on you in a heartbeat. But the ENTIRE story went against your two guys, including their own drunken belligerency to (and in front of) just about everyone on the scene.
The time and the place for the Dr. to get locked up was that night. Unfortunately, your two guys didn't want to go in on it. Again, what does that tell you? There own companions weren't backing their story either. What does that tell you?
And that's very cute how you define the west side to include only two entire districts. You got 12 for the south side and 11 for the north side? Or do you have 25 "sides" like a real estate agent would? I'm just saying, it seems like you want a story to fit a whitewashed conclusion.
On another note, I had a friend who got put in a coma 15 or 16 years ago in a bar in the south suburbs. Bar fight breaks out and somebody threw a bottle. Hits my friend in the head and he's out for months. Thing is, he wasn't even involved in any way with whatever the altercation was. Of course, we've all heard dozens of these types of stories since then. To me, anybody stupid enough to get involved in a fight in a bar without trying to walk away is playing with their own life. Christ, anybody who doesn't leave a bar when a fight breaks out is playing with their own life. Its just stupid.
All in all, I'm just saying, these guys were on the wrong end of the story at the bar. Unless the responding POs and sergeant were willing to put blatant lies on paper, there was no way to write it up on paper in any way that would make the dicks come out OK. End of the day, they should be calling the sgt. and thanking him for his babysitting services. Last thing the guy needs when he's looking at allegations against his (our) own people is for his own people who he's looking at to be motherfucking him in front of a crowd.

Me and my team mates are eating at a restraunt with one of these guys a few years back. Now this is a fine eating establishment on the northwest side, a family type place that you would take the family to out for dinner. We are surrounded by men, women and children when this guy starts talking about who knows what. Every other word was mother fuck this or mother fuck that, nigger this or nigger that as loud as could be. I'm embarrassed out of my mind, people are staring cause they can't believe that Chicago Police Officers would talk like that in front of children or women and they don't know what to do. I ask the guy to tone it down a little bit because there are kids present and his reply was something to the effect" fuck them, they've heard it before". I couldn't get the guy to shutup. I finally got up and left after quickly gulping down my meal. The guy was a total embarrassment. I can just imagine what happened in that bar in 013. Not saying he started the incident but I wouldn't be surprised.It's bugged me to this day!

Coppers (Patrolmen) from both 013th and 014th that responded did their jobs, they did as they were ordered to do by the SGT. So leave them out of the bashing as they did nothing wrong.

Officer on the scene interviewed ASAs that were in the bar. They refused to incriminate the Doctor (who by the way was Indian). Let me say that again that the ASA's refused to say they saw the Doctor attack the Detective. I don't see how taking the Doctor in would have helped the Dics at all or in any way. By the way as we were ending this escapade the bar staff and patrons did start some stuff with the dics. The ASA's didn't even leave with the dics. I see the analogy to the people in the ghetto all saying that the police execute honor students for every police shooting. I was having flash backs to my years in 11. It was really a bar full of yuppies trying set up some coppers. As far the Sgt was concerned someone obviously knows him and doesn't like him. That's fine. But you gave up his name to your drunk friend and went home and posted it here, and that was not cool. I was in a bar off duty, off duty, not on, with my partner and County Employees celebrating a Murder conviction. My partner was seated at the bar with a female clerk when an individual (doctor or not) came up and made several un-wanted advances toward the clerk. My partner and the clerk told the individual to leave. Even the bartender told the guy to stop or be escorted from the bar. The guy then hit my partner in the back of the head knocking him from the bar seat. I went over to the guy with the bar bouncer and attempted to arrest the individual. We called the 013th District and had a Sgt.( Known for Stupidity and a Jagoff) arrive and attempt to lock us up if we didn't leave the bar. How would you feel. The P.O.'s that arrived had no time on the job and were overly aggressive in trying to locking my partner and I up if we didn't leave and drop it. My partner sustained minor injuries and we requested a police report. What does it matter if you either R or R not drinking. We are in a bar celebrating when we were attacked. The Sgt. was nervous because the offender kept saying he was a doctor and a member of CAPS. Now, since we left and listened to the Sgt., we learn a CR was obtained and a case report was attempted to be made out against us later that night by the Sgt.but prevented by sounder minds, which we thank. This is bullshit and I give no apologizes for my actions regarding the Police assistance by 013. And yes, the County Employees and bar tender did stand up and tell how we were not the aggressor. However, what good did it do. Thanks Sarggggg.

I'm an attorney. A potential client is a doctor who was involved in an incident last week on the near west side. I can't seem to find any paperwork on the incident, but somebody pointed me to this site and indicated that I might be able to find some useful tips and clues here.
My potential client is considering a lawsuit against a few people and the city of Chicago for some indignities he suffered last week. You guys seem like you aren't too happy with the city, so maybe someone here will be willing to help out a bit more than you already have!

Well now if I posted shit about someone by name here, I would own up to it. But I didn't. I wish these assholes would say what they want to their faces. I would love to see it. I'm not the person who you are arguing with, and I'm sympathetic to your implied view of no names, places or dates etc.
The problem here is that at least one of the alleged detectives (if such persons even exist) being named first named the alleged sergeant (if such a person even exists) regarding the alleged incident west of state (if such an incident ever occurred, and if such a place even exists).
That was maddening to quite a few of us also. So I'm generally sympathetic to the idea of not naming any officer here or anywhere. But if you are the one with the beef, and if you name the officer, I'd argue that you pretty much forfeit the protection of anonymity which you otherwise deserve.
But as a general matter, can we all just agree not to put ANYONE's names or specific identifying information that can be looked-up on the internet? The motivation to do so is the greatest in the case where we are infuriated at the conduct of a fellow officer. But airing the allegations here is also where the greatest potential harm may result, subjecting us to needless, unwanted and possibly unwarranted publicity, investigations or even lawsuits.
