Sure, he's Happy Now ...

... but what about in a few months, especially after Laski makes his deal? Anyone with an ear to the ground know who or suspect who the former City Clerk is going to flip on? ANd whatever happened to those aldermen that were going to be indicted? We NEED an alderman indicted - it's like a tradition.

Sorry Off topic.

The 11-year-old was stabbed to death around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday after getting into an argument with a man who was in a neighbor's upstairs apartment where Clay had gone to play video games, Chicago Police and his family said.

You know I just dont understand. My 11 year old is out untill at least 0300 playing video games and he never got hurt. Why do they cater to the unruley way these people live. The mother should be held liable. Up at 0230 at a neighbors house not a friends playing video games. And they wonder why they are so stupid.

Speedy recovery my Arlington Heights Brother

Corruption in this city ROCKS!!!!!

I wish it would go back to the old way of doing things. Back when housing was affordable, only black people were criminals, and segregation was a houshold name.

You're all gonna be pretty sorry to see corruption go away. Because it'll be replaced with the whiney minorities who have been whining the loudest over the past few years. And when they're in charge of this city, then we'll all really be fucked.

You idiots don't realize it, but every time the city's crime numbers go down, cost of living goes up. I've been busting my ass for years to turn a blind eye to crime in hopes that some day I'd be able to afford a house in a decent neighborhood. Then Fat Phil and his "youngbloods" come along and crush those dreams. I guess I'll be stuck in my shitty southside apartment for good.

Thanks Fuckers!!!!

What happened with the Department? Civilians. The Department is not run by former police officers, police officers who worked midnights and attended court on no sleep, worked 6 days a week for 10 years, day in and day out deal with the shitheads. Look at the Command Staff who set policy - civilians.

All the new Sgts are still in the academy until 16 March.

ADA Marine Boy (aka: Where's the mirror so I can look at myself) Tobias stated he wanted ALL 100 plus sergeant candidates to have all the sgt patches sewn on their blouses/reefers for uniform inspection Friday. Then, after all their stuff was sent out to the uniform shops/tailors he demanded that they get 'em back and have the patrolman's patches sewn back on so they can be at the funeral today.

The police department has taken away the "caring" of the job. They have turned the job into a corporation were college kids get hired to one day be Ceo/sgts. I have been at the academy several times and have been disgusted by some of the recruits dispositions. This is not a job they wanted or care about, its a pay check and hoepfully a desk in a few years to lay up on. Very few recruits I see care to be the police. The police meaning putting everything you have into what you belive is the right thingas well as the law.
Today the lack of police at our fallen brothers funeral was sadening.

CPD brass and Daley don't want Real Police, they want PUPPET Police, in as many Supervisory positions as possible, more politics = more control via intimidation. This place is a disgrace to law enforcement, and not because of the working street police.

turnout for Erics funeral probably was low, partly to weather, partly to apathy, etc. For whatever reason, it's over now, lets learn from our mistakes, and not let it happen again. Do your best in the future to show up for a fallen officer. Stay safe, and call for Backup, or whatever it takes, to get the job done properly and safely.

300 guns.....was he really a retired p.o.? was he selling them to shit heads?
or was it just a gun collection?
i saw a lot of old mil. bolts and so forth on t.v.
a gun collection is one of each....an arsenal is racks of the same weapons systems and stacks of ammo and support part etc.
i bet many active p.o.'s have unregistered weapons at home and that does not make them bad guys.
this city may have to rethink the handgun ban and registration with the return of the upper middle class.

Most young cops are copper's kids. Who else in their right mind would take this job?? They are for the most part snot nosed brats. The same punks 5 years ago you were trying to stop tear assing around 16 and 22. If they did stop the little punks would cock off to you. Big surprise they are punk ass recruits now. Laughing and giggling at a police funeral.

Before you say "not my kids" look in the mirror. Your boozing and womanizing and multiple divorces lead to their disrespect of authority.

Give me a break! All he and his unit do is strong arm people into signing up for payroll deduction. When they go to the Academy to talk to recruits the first week they are in, he and his unit have these kids believing that the deduction is a one time deal so that they sign up to take out $10.00, $20.00, even $35.00. Then when the recruit realizes that this is happening every pay day and tries to change the amount, it is next to immpossible.
Don't believe me, just try and submit a change to your payroll deduction for the Police Memorial Fund. They don't change it, if you want to reduce the amount you are giving. They will only change it if you want to increase the amount you want to give.
I know people who have submitted NUMEROUS requests to reduce the amount being given, as these officers just can't afford it anymore. The requests somehow just keep being ignored. They have been submitted to Unit 114, Finance, the Comptrollers Office, all to no avail.
And where is the accounting of all of the funds that have been collected thus far? Anybody seen an accounting? Whose in charge of all these funds?
Who decides how it all gets spent?
Who are the contractors that will be hired and how is the contract dolled out?
Just a concerned contributor.
