What the Media Doesn't Report
Remember Harry Reid bragging to the media "We killed the Patriot Act"?
Well, they cleaned it up and the Senate voted to end the democratic led filibuster on it this past Friday 96 to 3. Among the 96 "yea" votes were Harry Reid, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Ted Kennedy and Dick Durbin.
Amazing. A few cosmetic changes AND plummeting poll numbers and suddenly everything is hunky-dory for the democrats who screamed loud and long about the erosion of civil liberties, illegal detentions and unauthorized wire taps (without actually backing up any of these claims with hard data).
Democrats - the party of knee jerk reactionism.

We'll let this post stand for now, but in the future, please just post a link (or a notice) to your website rather than eating up a whole bunch of space in our comments section. Our readers find it annoying and they'll complain about it. Thanks
We will not however, allow it to appear in more than one thread. Knock it off

Seiser for Animal Control Officer!
There is no higher calling than being an animal control officer
ATTENTION: Use that PDT to check on incoming jobs. First go to MENU then hit EQ now enter a time prior to actual and the district. SEE IT WORKS! Now to avoid a 3 offender shoplifter on your beat you can do a traffic stop or assist another officer. Let those DOC cars do some work.
Thats right. Those DOC cars don't do anything. You can see them at the Brickyard Mall hanging out. (the 1800 cars all do it!) They are NEVER in the doc. Or sometimes they will be at a polish coffee show googling the waitresses
The above poster is another bitter bitch, ratting out other coppers because they have something he wants, but can't get for one reason or another. Love the double post meant to make us believe it's different posters...loser.
Guys like THIS are the ones that drop a dime to IAD in a heartbeat, whining that they aren't getting thiers. THIS IS YOUR ENEMY! And he wears the same uniform as you and sits next to you in roll call. Sneakier than any hype, and twice as cowardly!
Keep dodging those jobs on your beat, you worthless cunt. It won't take long for you to give yourself away. And then the REAL fun will begin...
Whats this about the DOC cars hanging out at the Brickyard? And wheres this polish deli that they are talking about? I'll straighten them out.
The deli is at Lockwood and Belmont it's a bar too. Drink up!
I remember when it was considered lousy to be a RAT!!
Here are a few things the Democrats and many dissenting Republican gained by extending the measure until now:
The proposal would restrict federal agents' access to library records, one of the Patriot Act's most contentious provisions. A form of secret subpoena known as a National Security Letter could no longer be used to obtain records from libraries that function "in their traditional capacity, including providing basic Internet access.
The proposal would no longer require National Security Letter recipients to tell the FBI the identity of their lawyers.
The compromise bill also addresses "Section 215 subpoenas," which are granted by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act court. Recipients of such subpoenas originally were forbidden to tell anyone about the action. The proposed Senate measure would allow them to challenge the "gag order".
Sununu (Republican) said he and his allies were disappointed that the compromise does not require agents to "show a connection to a suspected terrorist or spy" before obtaining a Section 215 subpoena. Instead, a FISA judge would have to agree that there are reasonable grounds to believe the items being sought are relevant to an investigation into terrorism.
But Justice Department spokesman Brian Roehrkasse said the Senate compromise "maintains the tools necessary to fight terrorism while further strengthening safeguards to protect civil liberties."
Considering the Republicans control both houses and the Excutive branch they disssenters made the controlling party blink.
