If you do not know Barney, I can tell you he is a consumate gentleman, a Vietnam Marine, and not a Dumbocrat. It seems that Barney was escorted from Cindy's diatribe. Barney Im a piss puddle in your shadow, you da man. Also, I am a veteran, but not of Vietnam, and I want to say that in my opinion you Vietnam vets are hero's. I emailed SCC about this the day before she spoke. When we went over to SXU to check things out that night. WE learned that there were about 50-100 protesers outside supporting the Troops and against Cindy. Inside there were about another hundred, but out of that were more protesters against her. The Daily Southtown played it up that it was even, but that wasnt exactly the truth.
This woman is a media whore nothing more. She is a woman that is having a nervous breakdown on international TV. She is being used by the Code pink lunatics and other left wing nutcases to promote their Sedition.

re: Cindy Sheehan, the understanding left to me was that Casey Sheehan was raised by his father and stepmother, that Casey Sheehan reenlisted in 2003, and that Casey Sheehan volunteered (insofar as you can "volunteer" for combat once in the military) for combat duty.
Was somebody just saying something about how close she was to her son? If she had a chance in hell of going to Heaven, her son Casey is likely waiting to kick her ass downstairs for sullying his nation in his name.

I'd like to say this is off topic but I can never figure out what the topic is, it changes from post to post. I was watching a repeat show on A&E about the Speck case. They interviewed some old time Detectives, one in particular, a Jack Wallenda who stated that if he had gotten the chance, Speck would have never made it to prison. I don't know Detective Wallenda or any of these other guys that worked that case or some of the others, but heres a big salute to you guys for a job well done. Ya gotta love these old school coppers. They knew how to take care of business and often did it. A different time, a different era, and a different kind of Officer. We could use some of them now.
The Daily Southtown is published by the same people who run the Sun Times. Many of the stories are from the Sun Times. It's like the Tribune, WGN and CLTV, one big family of news.
