Don't Give up on Your Dreams

Sarcasm and Silliness Alert (for everyone reading who seems to lack a sense of humor lately): From Yahoo News:
  • VILNIUS, Lithuania - Lithuanian police were so astonished by a breath test that registered 18 times the legal alcohol limit, they thought their device must be broken. It wasn't. Police said Tuesday 41-year-old Vidmantas Sungaila registered 7.27 grams per liter of alcohol in his blood repeatedly on different devices after he was pulled over Saturday for driving his truck down the center of a two-lane highway 60 miles from the capital, Vilnius. Lithuania's legal limit is 0.4 grams per liter.

EIGHTEEN TIMES the legal limit! Wow! Don't let this guy near the open bar! We aren't sure of the conversion niceties, but the article further states that 3.5 grams per liter is usually fatal. If we recall, .45 BAC is usually considered fatal stateside, so this guy probably would have blown a .90 or so. We have GOT to party with this guy - no driving though.

Hat tip to Ace of Spades for the story.

I know this is off topic but I just gotta ask. Who is this idiot 3rd watch Sgt.in 015 that gets on the radio and won't shutup? I work in a Citywide unit and a few days ago we were working in 015 when noticed that this guy is ALWAYS on the radio and won't stop talking. It seemed as though he was on the air every 3 minutes or so blubbering on and on about some unimportant nonsense that nobody cares about. Then what happens today? We are back in 015 and this idiot is STILL talking on the radio even though he's the desk Sgt.! I don't think he's stopped talking from the last time we were there. Man do we feel sorry for you guys. It's bad enough you have to deal with the beast everyday but on top of that, you have to listen to him too? You should all get some kind of an award just for having to tolerate him. Whats up with this guy?

If you want to think I am really a copper from 015, go right ahead. I just wanted to know who this Sgt. was and why he talks so much. If I was from 015, I would just asked why does Sgt. So and so hog the radio. But go ahead, call me a liar and a loser. At least I'm not stuck there everyday, loser!

That shit happens everywhere, pricks who love to hear themselfs talk. How about the poor dumb slobs who ask the civilian dispatcher what to do? Should I go here first or there? Be the police would you. The only thing you should say on the radio is
10-4 unless you have a flash to give.

Speaking of not giving up your dreams, another brilliant Daley idea (on channel 5 website). I'm thinking there may be an issue with ex-cons taking financial information...

CHICAGO -- Those who owe the city money may soon receive a call from an ex-convict. The city's Department of Revenue said it is planning to use a collection agency that employees ex-offenders, NBC 5 reported on Wednesday. That means those who have an overdue Chicago parking ticket, water bill or police fine could receive such calls. The network is a nonprofit agency that trains ex-offenders for careers.

Gang teams from around the city will be put in BDU's on weekends for the summer. It is more than rumor. Slower dists won't have gang teams at all on days. They will be shipped out just like 2004. 016 and 022 home of the coppers, no gang teams on days for the summer. Believe it!!!!

I love how the department reports to the media how we have all this technology in use on the streets. I can not count how many times the news reports that we have vehicles all over the city that can run plates automatically, that we can pull up pictures on our computers in vehicles and how we can watch these dumb ass cameras with the comnputers in our cars.

I work in a district with the new computers and have not seen one that can view videos from cameras and it takes about five minutes to use the clear system. I also believe that there is only one van and tahoe that can run plates and from what I am told it is used and mass events like cubs and sox games in the summer and is nowwhere near crime.

i would like to make an observation. If you are a po in patrol pushing a car you are either:
a) Lazy
b) Ugly
c) Stupid
d) Fat
e) any combination of the above

I am only saying this because it's what I see everyday. The smart/ambitious folks are all in units, detailed out etc. I think you all know what I mean, you've noticed this too.
A lot of pissed off, lazy, whiny, stupid, ugly f***ers working beat cars. When was the last time a beat car did anything for YOU? I think they are too busy on here crying about the job.

Next time you crawl into your beat car, ask yoursel;, Am I fat, stupid, lazy, ugly or all of the above?
The answer may surprise you

and I dont work a cubicle at Ft Kool Whip...bitch

"I Got Kool-Aid"

Hey look it's June, it's hot as hell,
The CPD HQ is starting to smell,
Our throats are dry and I'm dead tired,
But thank god this Invisible crap isn't expired.

Hey,
I got Kool-Aid I got Kool-Aid

Headquarters had a dream,
A drink that's more addictive than ice cream.
With 4 ounce bottles and 6 types,
This genius created all the frickin hype.

Hey,
I got Kool-Aid I got Kool-Aid

Cline looks like Kool-Aid Man, came along with a fancy car to drive.
Although he's fat, he's a charm,
He's just a Ade drinker, he'll do you no harm

So let the police argue one on one,
But some can't dodge the IV from the #1,
As I stand there with my Kool-Aid,
I'd love to see those suckers drinkin that wera the Braid.

Hey,
I got Kool-Aid I got Kool-Aid

I got Invisible for today,
Tomorrow cherry sounds great.
If I'm in the mood for grape,
Raspberry could take its place.
Root beer, orange, what the heck
I'll take all six, where's the check?
FT Kool-Aid filling up my home,
Now at least I'm not alone!

I got Kool-Aid
I got Kool-Aid
I got Kool-Aid
I got Kool-Aid
I got Kool-Aid

Yeah. Completely horrible. His 5th DUI.

We should let him go so he can plow into your car. Then we can tell your family "But he was related to a PO who was killed on the job".

I am sure your family will find solace in your death if that was the case.

Let it go. Maybe being arrested will shake him or his family into awareness that he needs help. This sympathy (or maybe for some, empathy) has not helped him so far.

Personally, I don't think arresting him will help either. We will all read about him one day as the 5 time DUI'ed brother of a copper who killed a family of 4 when he plowed into their car.

And then the media will blame us for not enforcing the traffic laws (a la the Lincoln Park incident).

Yeah, only a clout baby would spout off like this. I left a unit to go back to patrol and I'm loving every minute. None of family was on the job, busted my ass off to get to mission team/ burglary team/tact/ and finally a CW unit. So, I made a decision that was best for my family and myself. Yet you have the juevos to come on here anonymously and attempt to call out the majority of coppers on the job. Come-on tuff guy, I'm calling you out. This ugly, lazy, stupid, whiney, bitch (luggen too)will be available for a heart to heart anytime, anyplace so we can set the record straight.

District Patrol is the heart and soul of the CPD. A disproportionate number of our fallen comrades over the years worked beat cars in districts.

I wish you a long, lingering death, you obnoxious asshole. Take your obvious clout and shove it up your suckhole sorry ass.

Ahhh, the good 'ole days on 69th St. in Marquette Pk. Used to love to watch the show at 0200 when the bars closed. At least one good fist fight every night, some broad driving in reverse down the street with her boyfriend hanging onto the hood, while she screamed in Lithuanian at him out the window. At least 3-4 parked cars sideswiped every night, but at least the Lugans weren't spraying the set with an AK or Mac and killing off their neighbors, little kids..But integration is working in Marquette Pk.! Just ask those that didn't get out to Lemont or Orland in time and are the "Prisoners of 69th St."

THE POINT IS!!!!!!!!!!!
if you have over 10 years on and you are still a Police Officer in a beat car, its time to re-examine your career choice.
You may not be cut out for this. Of course there are a few exeptions(FEW). UNLESS you are an under achiever. Then blame everybody else but yourself.
and I have NO clout, oral copulation, family ties etc...
I know you can not accept it, but keep blaming everyone and DON'T look in the mirror. the truth hurts
