Working in 022 & I can verify that OPS had 4 investigators out there on the night of the shooting & could not turn up a single witness other than the passenger who corroborated the Officers statements. I'm sorry, but if there is a backlog and the dispatcher does not get an individual reason to put each tac and gang car, including sergeants, down, than they and the field supervisors are just as responsible as anyone for not raising or redlining tact cars when priority assignments are pending.
I know most of the dispatchers, civlians and POs/retirees, don't like the idea of redlining people, but if its their head or the heads of an unresponsive (read: ducked/skipped) tact team, there is not one reason in the world that would justify them NOT redlining the tact team. The dispatcher thinks they are taking one for the "team" by carrying the risk and liability? F*** that, they are protecting 8 or 10 at the expense of the uniforms on the watch.

Genl ord. on swiping came out in 98 it took what 8 yrs. before they sent down the fax which then made swiping offical. When the order 1st came out there were select units that were being required to swipe in and out unofficial/offical game. The former FOP response to this impropriety was, the city has a right to do a time study, huh? As the saying went "I only swipe one thing"! The machines are not yet tied into your salary, we still have A&A's, not all units are using the software. So what do they do if you fail to swipe? Give ya a form. Dumb ya, because you are already accounted for or lets hope you are and your tied by work activity for the day. Yeah, it's a bit silly but if you look at this job it's filled with alot of bits of silliness. I dont think it was Tac, or patrol, or any of our other aka special units.
The city is suppose to look accountable it's their documentation to cover themselves, usual BS close the barn door the horse is out. Fort KoolAid loves it when you get all hot and bothered and they really love the division. So we know how they react if you swipe in after/prior to the LOL window of opportunity, someone has to hand you a form. ok. more paper work. Food for thought. Who hates paperwork more than you Blue? If you forget to swipe after window so many times, will you have to write a report, will you be counseled, will a tracker or CR# be taken out, more paper by the way. How do they handle swipe in before window? These are the issue's you should be reviewing, after all you are a Thin Blue Line. There is so much creativity on this blog, use it together on the job. You never know it may just work.

Does anyone know any coppers who actually work in 012??? I was there a few days ago and looked pretty empty to me....any working coppers there at all or is it a retirement district??Sgt was actually sleeping behind desk too!!

I was not sleeping----I was mediating over general orders--particularlly GO 96-3 (together we can). Also, district personnel go into covert mode(run silent, run deep) whenever an outside unit tries poaching in the district. Thank you for your support.
