Recognizing the Enemy
So, have the screams from the Left died down yet in regard to the recent capture, torture, murder, beheading and bobby trapping of two American soldiers?
What? No screams of outrage? No cries of "Geneva Convention! Geneva Convention!"? No calls for the impeachment of the Iraqi government? Nothing? Nothing at all?
Nope. Because the left is cheering for the US to lose, plain and simple. The only thing they live for is the dream of a Bush impeachment, a Democratic take over of the House and Senate, closing Gitmo and a complete withdrawal of US troops from Iraq before the job is done. What a great agenda! And if we proposed the summary execution of all terrorists caught hiding among the civilians, not in uniform and not signatories to any international treaties, we'd be labeled as "war criminals."
Oh well. We hereby propose that all prisoners currently held in Gitmo be executed as fast as humanly possible. Anyone captured on the field of battle not in uniform should be shot on the spot. Anyone hiding among or launching attacks from groups of civilians should, upon capture, be hanged from the nearest lampposts and left to rot. What we propose is not only legal, it is established practice of armies around the world.
Remember, islam doesn't mean "peace," it means "submission." And if you don't submit, you are their enemy and are treated exactly like these soldiers were.

Our soldiers and marines are in a no-win situation in Iraq.They are expected to follow specific rules of engagement and international law while the insurgents play by only ONE rule,the rule to win.This war is not for our armed forces to win or lose.The Iraqi people will determine the outcome of this conflict.If the Iraqi government isn't strong enough to rule,and the security forces aren't tough enough to defend Iraq's soverignty,then NO amount of military force by America is going to turn this situation around.I was aginst this invasion when it began and I still feel the same way.But now that we're in it,we should be in it to win it.The only way I see to accomplish that is to unleash the true might of our armed forces.Give the field commanders "carte blanche" to accomplish the mission.Any insurgents that are captured should be killed on the spot be they man,woman or child.Retaliate aginst insurgent attacks with the utmost lethal force possible.Hunt them down and assasinate ALL insurgents wherever they may be.Make the rule of engagement"kill the enemy" period.As good as that might sound to some of us,we all know this country does not have the will to wage a war in this manner.If we learned anything in Viet Nam it's that you cannot fight a limited engagement and expect to win.This is the MAIN reason I'm against this occupation,and why I believe we should bring our troops home.In my opinion the Iraqi people are too divided to be one nation.They were held together by the sheer will of Saddam.Now that he's no longer in power,the country will slowly disintergrate into anarchy and more than likely three seprate regions.One Kurd,one Sunni,and one Shite.If you don't think it could happen,think back to the death of Tito in Yugoslavia and what happened to THAT country.Even the combined forces of NATO couldn't keep that country together.If we pull out of Iraq many will say we "cut and ran." A Chicago Police officer and a key Mickey Cobras street gang leader were among 47 people charged Wednesday with running a major drug operation out of the Dearborn Homes housing project -- but no charges involved a rash of fatal overdoses involving fentanyl-laced heroin linked to the same area.
According to a 213-page federal complaint, Prairie District Officer Tashika Sledge, 29, helped Lynn Barksdale, a member of the gang's board of directors, by hiding his drug sales paraphernalia.

She also allegedly gave Barksdale access to her police database to help him determine which Mickey Cobras were under surveillance and to identify who was following him by checking vehicle license plates.
Overseen by James Austin, the gang's "king," dealers marketed eight strains of potent heroin -- identified by names such as "Max Pain," "Reaper," "Lethal Injection," "Drop Dead," "Fear Factor," Final Call," "Skyrocket," "Girls Gone Wild" and "Penicillin," First Assistant U.S. Attorney Gary Shapiro said.
"They carry niche marketing to the extreme," he said.
Dealers working with Austin would pay street taxes between $500 and $1,000 a week so they could sell the different brands, Shapiro said. Austin, 29, was arrested Wednesday in Akron, Ohio, and charged with overseeing sales.
'No one is above the law'
Police Supt. Phil Cline said it was troubling that Sledge allegedly betrayed the public trust. She was stripped of her police powers and assigned to a clerical job two months ago when U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency officials alerted the department of suspicions about her actions, he said.
She will be placed on a "no-pay status" in light of her arrest, Cline said.
"More than ever, this should illustrate that no one is above the law, not even a police officer," Cline said.
While federal authorities spoke of many strains of heroin, they divulged no details specifically related to fentanyl-tainted heroin at the Chicago Housing Authority's Dearborn Homes complex.
They would only say that fentanyl, manufactured for legal use as a pain-killer, was seized alone and not mixed with any other drug Jan. 25 and April 25 in small plastic bags.

Shapiro said additional charges could be filed, but he would not connect 60 Cook County deaths linked to fentanyl-laced heroin to any of the defendants listed in the federal complaint.
"It contains no allegations relating to resulting harm to drug users," Shapiro said after an early-morning sting that reached from Chicago to Katy, Texas.
"For this reason, I have to emphasize that none of these defendants are charged with or are alleged to be responsible for any of the deaths connected to fentanyl use," he said.
The other suspects charged in the "Operation Snakebite" probe include Austin's chief assistant, Johnny Shannon, 27, of Chicago; Barksdale, 32; another Chicago-based Mickey Cobras' director, Larry Smith, 31, and Kevin Williams, 25, who had been freed on bail after he was charged with the 2003 shooting of a 9-year-old boy, police said.
Williams posted 10 percent of the $100,000 bond in the shooting. He failed to appear at a court hearing, but he still managed to stay out of jail, Cline said. The victim suffers from slurred speech, can't use his right hand and is in a special education program in sixth grade, Cline said.
"We're disappointed that such a low bond was set for a person who shot a 9-year-old boy," Cline said. "It's a shame he was able to continue doing business."
Thirty of the 47 defendants in custody are expected to appear in federal court today.
All of the arrested suspects in the investigation, which followed months of wiretaps and undercover drug buys, were charged with conspiracy to possess and distribute heroin, crack cocaine, marijuana and fentanyl from 1999 to 2006.

In WWII, we feared that the Japanese might
infiltrate into our Japanese-American population and
commit acts of espionage, terrorism, and sabotage. We
acted in what we percieved to be our self defense and
rounded them up, placing them in camps where they
could do us no harm. We acted quickly enough that it
worked. There were no major acts of the kind by them.
Because of the fact that there were no such acts, we
later regretted that we had acted in this fashion, as
if we had done wrong. Maybe. But the important thing
to remember is that internment worked PERFECTLY toward
its desired end- no terrorist acts or sabotage.The
pacifist tendency of the American psyche has always
been that when a defensive measure works, we tend to
think that we have over-reacted. (e.g. Hiroshima) If
we
hire off duty police officers for security at a
neighborhood carnival and their presence prevents the
gang shootings that we feared, then we think why pay
for these guys next year, when we don't need them.
After all, nothing happened.
Civilization can be
likened to a game that mankind plays. He plays it for
the mutual benefits that being civilized bestows upon
all. This guy and his followers are playing another
game entirely. Their ideology is the exact antithesis
of civilization. Their warped thought process has
perverted the true tenets of Islam and they are in
fact the greatest enemy of Islam. If you have any
religion at all, these are your deadly enemies. Even
if you don't have any religion, logic alone tells you
that they must be destroyed. There is no common
denominator here upon which to build a peace. They

deadly enemies of all of civilization, but they are
the very poster boys for ethnic cleansing.
