Ah, This is More Like It

Blackhawks are truly in midseason form. A 5-4 loss to Columbus. We don't know what it is about Columbus, but they have had Chicago's number since they came into the league. Will someone please turn this team over to the younger Wirtz boys who might have a few ideas about opening up the wallets and even if they don't bring a winning tradition back to the West Side, they at least bring back a couple of consecutive playoff appearances? Please?

Hopefully this will be one of the few. Have had a great start and hope to see them (at least) back in the playoffs.
Just wanted to add a link...This guy if funny as hell. On one ofthe videos he says what we are all thnking (excluding leftisbest). here is the link. You can either post this whole thing or just the link to the video. I think it's funny, and true. Here it is:http://www.thekidfrombrooklyn.com/video_disp.asp?videoid=1067

That could be the start of a new thread. Why is it we get no respect anymore? It FUCKING KILLS ME! I grew up, you respected the police. Part of it was the way I was raised. But not all of it. I fucked up when I was younger. "I wasn't always a cop." If I may plagerize from Eddie Murphy in Beverly Hills Cop. Getting chased by the police was fun. The getting caught, was NOT!" I think that is the point. When I was growing up, if you messed up, the coppers let you know it. You got a good smack, or ass whooping-depending, but didn't get locked up. And if you went home to a police father, nothing was worse. There were plenty of times I wished I had gone to juvy or jail!!!! Either was, Chicago police (and all others, were respected). You knew that if you fucked up, you would take an ass whipping, then you would either be told to get the fuck out of there or be brought home to your parents for another round. That is what I think the difference is today. Everything is about the lawsuit and there is no accountability. I honestly don't give a shit about the adults if they don't fear or respect the police, but the kids should so they don't grow up like their parents who don't or don't become what their parents despise. The kids should get a smack, be brought home, and their parents should straighten their little asses out! That should be it. It isn't anymore. Now it's, "My kid didn;t do no shit like that and you hit him for no reason. I'm callin' OPS." That, or they are worse than the kids. They blame everybody but themselves for the way they raised them or the kid themselves. I've worked in the ghetto and there are some truelly amazing parents who, in the midst of nothing but poverty and violence, raise their kids to be good people." Why can't we all. I have to stop now, I'm starting to sound like a liberal...........Sorry, I just threw up and voted again with my third absentee ballot...

The second game is indicative of the Blackhawks that we know and love. They will be doormats as long as Old Man Wirtz runs the team.

I agree with the disdain and dislike of Dollar Bill. I will not pay for a ticket to go to the Stadium...I haven't been in a few years now.

A miracle would be nice though....I just got them in Vegas at 75-1. I had to lay a couple of bucks on them!

I thought hockey was big in Chicago?

What a shame to hear it's not. IMO, it's the greatest sport on Earth!

As a Philadelphia fan, one thing I can say about our NHL, AHL, NFL and MLB teams is that we love them, win or lose. It doesn't mean we don't give them hell when they deserve it (we do it time and again), but we are very passionate fans, win or lose (and right now, after the Flyers second loss, I'm more than a little pissed off).

It's way too early in the season, Anon. Have some faith in the Blackhawks. Oh, and BTW, we'd like to have Handzus back!

It all starts at home, Anon. If the parents don't care and have zero respect for the law, their children will follow in their footsteps.

Society as a whole doesn't help either, with the liberal Media playing a big part in that. The Left doesn't help either (and I'll keep my opinions about them to myself).

I was raised to have respect for my elders, respect others opinions (whether I agree or not), respect my parents and have respect for those in law enforcement. I've instilled these values in my children as well.

At any rate, believe it or not, there ARE many out there who have immense respect for all that you do. I hope you'll keep that in mind.

hockey is gay and no one needs to complain about the hawks being cheap. there is a salary cap now...a pretty low one. the hawks just have made nothing but bad decisions in the recent years.
