That Didn't Take Long
Barack Obama effectively removed himself from consideration for the Presidency this weekend by admitting that his business dealings with indicted Blago insider Tony Rezko were on the shady side:
- Senator Barack Obama campaigned for the democratic candidates Monday. The party hopes his star power will give them a boost but the senator drew most of the attention. He apologized for his business dealings with indicted political insider Tony Rezko.
- Senator Obama is trying to minimize the political damage from a business deal with Rezko -- who has pleaded not guilty to charges he received kickbacks from investment firms seeking state business. Obama bought a piece of property from Rezko last year.
There isn't a chance in hell this would escape national media scrutiny, especially in light of Senate minority leader Harry Reid's recent real estate troubles. This would be a millstone around Obama's run and pose a boatload of uncomfortable questions in Illinois' "pay-to-play" political system.
Obama's 15 minutes came and went in the span of about 10 days. And Hillary solidifies her position as the Democratic nominee in '08.

Obama's relationships with Tony Rezko and Alexi Gianoullius should be a big bump in the road but it does not appear the national media is paying attention or cares.
His endorsing Todd Stroger whose appointment is anti-democratic at best is being ignored.
This is from the individual that Harry Reid appointed to be in-charge of ethical matters for the democrats in the Senate is not news worthy.
If he was a republican CNN,MSNBC and Fox wouldof been all over the story but nothing is being mentioned.

We are more intelligent that that. The fact that the media considers it a non-issue right now doesn't matter - what the right wing media does with it in two years DOES matter. And there is no way in hell they are going to let it lie. W was a governor. You can't get better experience. The down side to electing a governor is that the govenor has no voting record, as opposed to a congressman.
How did Obama get into Harvard Law? Let's see his LSAT score. Was it on par with whitey? Nobody's even asking. Harvard has to have a certain number of blacks in it's law school. They'll go to the bottom of the barrel if they have to.

At least Obama left his mark at Harvard, heading up the Harvard Review. What did W leave behind at Yale? Other than grades he could have just as well received at Daley College? Sorry, guys, you just can't compare the two. Bush came from a family of privilege and had no character. Barack came into existence as the bastard child of an interracial union, surely ostracized along his way, graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School, and became a professor of Law at the University of Chicago, one of the most prestigious Law Schools in the world.
