My US Army MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) was 72B10. For your information asshole that is a Communications Center Specialist. From July of 1965 through April of 1966 I served along the front lines in many and varied combat zones in Vietnam. I have two purple hearts and a Bronze Star to my credit. Pardon the take off on a popular commercial "buts what's in your file asshole", in what way have you contributed the good of mankind. The way the left venerates John Kerry is disgusting. He did no more than thousands upon thousands of other young men placed in the same circumstance. We just did our duty and kept our mouths shut. We didn’t proffer false claims about how our troops burned villages, killed innocent women and children like Kerry the Coward. He exaggerated the little boo boo on his pinkie and came home to look for a rich wife so he could contine his country club life he had before his “service.” The real heroes were the Swift Boat crew who had to work for the jerk. We came home after our service to start our lives again and were met by morons like you. For all the pride I take in my service I take greater pride in the left cross I delivered to an asshole like you, probably your father, at O'Hare when I got off the plane from Atlanta upon my discharged. He had the nerve to call me a baby killer, I continued to walk away and he followed and grabbed my duffle bag and offered his comments again. That's when I removed two teeth from his mouth. Right then and there I knew I wanted to be a Chicago Copper. Why you ask, because an Officer by the name of Cappetto who witnessed the event asked me if I was all right and put the cuffs on that moron and housed his sorry ass – (I found out later he was a decorated Korean War Vet). I was appointed to the Department in June of 1967 and served proudly for 34 years before taking my pension. I even got to bust a few of your relatives in Lincoln Park the next year. I have a photo of myself slapping the cuffs on David Dellinger of Chicago Seven Fame (front page Chicago Tribune) – oh what a great memory.
So to you leftie, and all your kind, before you bash those of us who contributed to the betterment of society get some credentials and currency behind your blabber.

I served two tours in the Republic of Vietnam in the United States Army, which included four months with a ARVN unit.
The Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) was capable of standing up to the communists until the Democrats in the Congress of the United States cut off all supplies and support to the ARVN.
This decision to cut off supplies was led by the likes of Teddy Kennedy.
We were accused of war crimes by Jane Fonda and John Kerry and other left-leaning political figures.
I for one have refused to watch any movie that has Jane Fonda playing in same and I for one would never consider voting for John Kerry for dogcatcher much less any thing else.
John Kerry and Teddy Kennedy are among the figures in D.C. who again want to cut the legs out from under our military by cutting off the funding for our support of the Iraqi military. I love their leadership figures in Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, whom I would not trust with the defense of this Country.

"Old Grey Guy" makes some valid points. Kerry did no more or less than thousands of young men who were called upon to serve. He is also correct about many left wingers of that era. Vetrans serving their country were treated as scapegoats for a failed foreign policy. But he's lost a few neurons if he thinks G.W.Bush is a great president. History will judge Dubya harshly for all the lies and blunders comitted in his administration. Herbert Hoover will look like a statesman compared to Bush. Having said that,I still have a great deal of respect for OGG and the hundreds of guys like him who came on this job before me.

Can someone please tell me the reasoning FOP endorses Democrats blindly? They endorse Duckworth, Bean etc for Congress? Who are they asking to come up with this endorsement? We are police officers, so if the Democrats win and take over Congress and possible President in '08 who is going to be a big loser in this? Us. The Democrats haver no plan in Iraq other than pulling out and giving the terrorists a victory which would in turn give terrorists a gigantic rise in more terrorists joining with them to attack the US on US soil. If we pull out of Iraq and let them have their new base of operations in Iraq then the attacks which have not happened here will start. Imagine a suicide bombimg on a bus downtown during rush hour? What would the Chicago Police be able to do about that? Nothing. We are not equiped to police something like that. We need to stay in Iraq and fight over there to keep it over there not here. The Democrats are weak on National Defense and dealing with terrorists, we should not give terrorists from other countries rights of Americans, which Democrats want to do. We should be listening to terrorists intercepts which have done nothing but stop countless terrorist attacks around the world, but who wants to stop that? Democrats.
Please when and if you vote next week please consider that National Defense is not only what is happeneing in Iraq and around the world it also effects us as police officers because if these attacks come home we all know we are not equipped to handle those types of attacks. They returned to Vietnam and even interviewed Vietnamese who lived on the river when the shit hit the fan. They verified Kerry's version of events as factual, some even described how he pulled some of our servicemen out of the water. And yet, people choose to believe whatever they will about the man and his military record. Even though there are NO records that Bush EVER EVEN FLEW A PLANE. Say what you want about Kerry, there's plenty of evidence to back up his service record. Most of Bush's records are either "lost" or
"unavailable." And let's not even discuss how this past October has been the deadliest month this year for our troops. "Mission Accomplished." What a joke....

I just ask one thing, honor those who are serving now. When you see a soldier/sailor/marine in uniform buy them lunch and express your appreciation for their service. As you hear others condemn them go for their throats. Especially those of you back in Sweet Home Chicago. I would be very disappointed if one of you happens upon Dickhead Durbin and you don’t call him out for his gulag comments. WHAT A MONUMENTOUS PIECE OF SHIT!!!! Don't buy that leftist crap spewed by the assholes on the left that "I support the troops but I can't support the war." Wake up assholes, the two are connected. I suppose those who hold this position feel the war against the Islamist Fascists would be better fought on the streets of Appleton, Wisconsin. We’re there, they’re there, and lets get it over. Like any good father he did what he felt was in the best interest of his children. If you are a real man you don’t turn the other cheek when your children are in danger.
