Traditions Are Important

It's time for our second favorite Chicago tradition.

First of course, is voting "NO" on every single judge on any given ballot during the election season.

Second is the Parade of the Overnight Parking Ban victims. Every December 1st, without fail, there is a line of people looking to bail their cars out of automobile jail because they didn't read the street signs that ban overnight parking on 107 miles of city streets from 01 December through 01 April regardless of the weather. Then the media always runs some piece where they can air their sob stories about how they're new to town, new to the neighborhood, new to snow, etc. And they're almost always yuppies, so we can laugh about it.

This year should prove especially bountiful as the scheduled snowfall is going to make another 500 MILES of city streets into No Parking Zones when snow is 2" or more. Let the fun begin!

I am all for giving everyone a ticket where there are signs reading "NO PARKING when 2" of Snow".

I don't care who you are or who your daddy is. Snow Plowes can not be effecient in their job when these idiots are parked on the street.

can any cop here honestly say that they would knowingly give a ticket to a fellow cop who has parked in a "no parking when 2 inches of snow" street?

MOst people have unlisted numbers. And, if someone called you at 3 am telling you he's the police and to move your car, would you believe him? Hmmm could be a set up to get you outside so he could steal your ride.

Here's a thought. Learn how to read!
