Independent Run For Mayor
Well, the mayoral election is mere weeks away now and there has been a minor effort to draft a number of write-in candidates for the position, including but not limited to Patrick Fitzgerald, Rudy Guilliani, and even your humble webmasters.
We consulted with some legal representation and it was related to us that write-in votes for SCC would result in disqualified ballots as SCC is not a real person. Someone else said that write-in candidates have to be registered with the Board of Elections to have their votes counted. We really have no idea where write-in votes might go in this instance, but in the interest of having votes count toward an actual living and breathing person, we are supporting the following candidate:

Hey, off-topic, but can anyone in 009 tell me what the deal with your sgt's are? I have been working in 009 the last couple of nights and all I hear is this sgt calling out people on the radio by name. I know one of the p.o.'s he called out, and S.K. is a good guy and a hard worker. It's a shame that this goes on, I can't believe that he would intentionally go out of his way to screw over another copper, but I guess there has to be more to the story, can anyone elaborate more on this, so I know if I have to turn the other way so this sgt wont call me and my partner out? Also you will be able to switch your prescribed weapon, so the dinosaurs out there that still carry a wheel gun and don't want to buy an automatic because they don't want to qualify every year will be able to dump the wheel gun and get an auto as their prescribed, same goes with us that have to own 9mm's that will be no more.

for those of you that dont know seiser definitly runs it and that is a very young pic of seiser he spent many of years in 025, where i hear his piano bar is opening soon, and he currently works in 024, but many can catch him working cta special and he use to work tara when it was around, and at one time in my career i can say that i spent 8 of the longest hours in a beat car with P.O. Seiser...and i will be voting early and often

Hoping to take advantage of an influx of newcomers, several viable challengers are running against 14-year incumbent Ald. Madeline Haithcock, a loyal ally of Mayor Richard Daley, in the Feb. 27 election.

With the mayoral primary less than 4 weeks away, I would sure like to think that most police, fire, streets and san, etc. realize that Daley is always going to pit us against each other so he can divide and conquer. It's a foregone conclusion that he will be reelected.
I'm going to follow the talk on SCC and write in Fitzgerald.
Also, any advice on how to avoid insubordination if a boss orders us to tow an unmarked squad car?
There's always going to be jerks but most of our drivers respect the CPD and CFD.

Look at a lot of shootings. Police Officers only hit a fraction of the time compared to offenders. That is because offenders are mentally aware and ready to shoot. I am not saying we aren't, we just need to take training seriously and be ready to engage if neccessary! Shooting at paper targets isn't enough.

I am not SCC, Doody, nor do I even have a horse in the race, but if all us chip in we can get Haithcock out of the 2nd ward. We have to show her and others like her that the crap she tried to pull WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.

I heard about 24...that district gives north siders a bad name.
there is nothing but dogs in the 009th district (the majority, try 90%).........Sgt. B.L. is a stand up guy!
