And Now ... the SOS Lawuits
Here they come. The first if what will undoubtedly be one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) waves of lawsuits alleging all sorts of improper behavior on the parts of numerous officers stripped and/or indicted from SOS:
- A Chicago man filed a federal lawsuit Tuesday saying he wrongly served three years in prison because he was framed by three officers -- including one later charged criminally in the Chicago Police Special Operations Section scandal.
- Thompson is seeking at least $24 million in damages.
$24 million? When on earth did this lowlife ever even get a sniff of $1 million, let along $24 million? Doesn't the City employ some actuarial-type bean counters who can research the plaintiff and see what he REALLY would have legitimately earned in those 3 years he spent behind bars? Then toss him an extra grand of so for his troubles. You could even work in the cost of the Section 8 vouchers and what he might have made working the tip.

The large payouts are to punish the city for a unlawful arrest. The time in jail is the suffering. What recouse do civillians have but to be paid for corruption.

that suit will be thrown out immediately. the u.s. supreme court just ruled (in a case that involved cpd) that a civil rights/unlawful arrest suit must be filed within 2 years of the date of arrest.

There is no convenient store that is near or even would get the right angle to catch anyone in the park doing donuts. Closest store is on Irving park.
not only was he doing donuts in the park, he lost his plate in the snow and when he got wind that there was a beef he went to the car wash to try to get the dirt off the squad car. Great role models these Sgts are. Oh yea thats right he is a Capt (who thinks she should be commander) Dillon guy

Do any of those people driving while DWB have a license usually not and most brothers have that attitude don't lock up the brother espicially if its a White or Hispanic p.o. doing the locking up.
