Blago BS Getting Deep
Everyone always gives George Bush a bad rap for wearing his faith on his sleeve. Hey, whatever floats your boat - we're mostly non practicing persons of indeterminate religions. Big whoop.
But Blago is really getting goofy, saying his budget that provides for the largest tax hikes in Illinois history puts him on the side of the Lord? From Channel 2:

As CBS 2 Political Editor Mike Flannery reports, Gov. Rod Blagojevich says he is "on the side of the Lord."
The governor called his campaign a "crusade," declaring that, as he sees it, he is on the side of God in offering Illinoisans more access to medical insurance and better schools.
How about instead of free handouts, Blago remembers that the good Lord helps those who help themselves? Taking our money and giving it out to failed social programs and failed social experiments doesn't put you anywhere near god(s), deities, or spiritual presences. It just pisses off the taxpayers.

Dozens of Chicago-area ministers are threatening boycotts and demonstrations if that's what it takes to convince corporations and lawmakers to support Governor Blagojevich's plan for a new tax on business revenues to raise $6 billion a year for schools and health care.
Let's see a few of these businesses move their operations out of state. Maybe even a few union shops fold up their tents and watch the governor and his cronies try to explain how they're driving high paying jobs right out of Illinois. We're bleeding jobs and money in this state and Blago is applying leeches to the wounds, sucking more blood out of the body. We are so doomed.

Economics learned from President Carter. Reward the unproductive. Punish the productive. Soon the economy will collapse and everyone will be poor...so long as the Cook County Board President and Governor's pensions are the last to be defunded, everything will be okay...

Last week at the Gym, I had occasion to speak with 2 guys both of which looked like they had found their wives doing their husbands best friends.
Both guys were told that if Blagos Tax package passes that they would be unemployeed. Both Men work decent paying factory jobs and have wives and kids.
One of the companys is moving operations to Tennessee and the other to Indiana.
I can just imagine that Illinois corporations are now looking for new places to set up business.

For example, a couple of years ago Boeing moved to Illinois. We won their relocation over Texas. Boeing's sales are 60 billion a year. Does ANYONE think that Boeing will pay 600 million a year to stay in Illinois? How about Cat tractor with 94,000 employees? In an era of seamless communication and supply chain management anyone can move anywhere. How about McDonalds? They could move their headquarters in a week. And they will. I am by no means rich. That being said, I have always wondered why there is a tax upon hard work and sucess. Realize that the rich create jobs, thus creating more tax payers. they spend more $ thus paying more sales tax, they have higher property taxes, etc. Why should their incomes and business be taxed at a higher rate, so their money can be funnel to the breeders and dope dealers. I'm so sick of living in the U.S.S.A. Peoples Republic of Illinois, Crook County.

Just shrug your shoulders and head off to your 6th side job as a 12 buck an hour rent a cop.

WTF I’m sitting here paying my mortgage, writing a check for tutition of child to a Catholic HS, sending a check away to the U of Illinois for my eldest daughter (she scored 31 on her ACT but couldn’t get a scholarship because I make too much money and we all know that money had to be used for the child of some illegal mud foot) and so on and so on. I’m tired of paying for every useless dredge of society who can’t figure out how to pick up his pants, turn down his radio, speak the English language, etc. etc. etc. Screw the socialist politicians and all the do nothing, want everything, useless pieces of shit draining our economy. Health care my ass. There’s the Stroger for those who can’t afford it. They don’t want to send out their bills anyway.
Myself and the rest of CPD's disabled officers sure wish the Gov and the politicians down in Springfield would at least vote us a raise on our disability. Maybe I'll get a raise before I die. "NO FREE LUNCHES?" My district is full of people who get free lunches. Want a balanced budget, stop giving the freebees to those who don't want to earn it.

If ANYONES taxes get raised, especially businesses, they always pass the cost of it down to the persons who can't do anything about it, and they don't think twice about it. So, if you think it's good to tax these businesses, you'll be paying more, as it gets passed down to you, the buyer, or user. If the businesses get too pissed off, they RELOCATE. Then, less jobs too, beware State of Illinois, this guy is a Wolf in Sheeps Clothing.

Its Funny, people vote for who they think will help them the most. Blacks vote for blacks, Hispanics for Hispanics, Liberals for liberals. Democrats for Democrats and Republicans for Republicans. They do not take the time to actually see if the person voted for will help them or hurt them. This is why people like Gov Johnny haircut get elected. People do not research, just vote out of past practice. And Johnny Haircut knows that citizens have a short memory. He screwed many Illinoisans after he was elected last time and they voted for him again. What I am trying to say is my fellow Illinoisans, get your head our of your A$$es and vote for someone who will bring jobs to Illinois, not try to drive them away and raise your taxes (Some of the highest in he U.S.) to give money and service to those who do not pay taxes just because they and their sponsors vote for him.
