I have never had any problems with our commander. I see and hear the guy riding on calls day in and day out....he is always looking for the tact/gang teams on the radio...and the man is polite when you see him. All of these things were NOT done by our past commander so the man could dress up like rick flair all he wants because in my book he is doin just fine here! Maybe I just dont know cause I've never worked the west and north side. Anyways, much better than the last guy we had by far! My two cents

Remember when the eight district tactical team had Sergeants that were real leaders. Like the late Steve Stewart and Jim Waltemath. All the jag offs and John Corless stool pigeons were all on Jerry Duseks team. A lot of work got done and everybody had a lot of fun as a team. Those days are gone forever. RIP Steve and Jim.

O work in 008, and, I have to admit, the new Commander is like a breath of fresh air in this place.
He definitely knows tha streets, I've seen him show up on a couple of in progress calls. He actually SPEAKS to everyone. I know it's early in the game for him, but so far, I actually like what I see.
Hope he sticks around for a while.
I've seen more than a few 'bodies' come back to life since he got here. Everyone seems to move a step or two quicker now.

is jefferson tap and the bar on 63rd and harlem "escapades" both police hangouts? i have observed a lil red head in the parking lot removing his blue chicago police shirt and a really big guy with a cigar exit an unmarked police vehicle and enter the bar via the back door. i have noticed the same vehicle parked for long periods of time at said location over the last few months.

I worked for Leo on the Area 5 Agg Batt team. We were #1 in the city under Leo in clearances. He never failed to thank us or reward us like a good boss does. The work kinda sucked but we enjoyed working for Leo so Me and My partner agreed to stay. I'd work for Leo any day anywhere!!
8 balls refers to balls of steel? i thought you made a reference to the amount of coke you are shoving up your nose. 8th district coppers have always been a disgrace to the department. i think the 10th district is a close second. the 10th district only is concerned about the tail immigrants on 26th street. the 8th district has let garfield ridge/clearing/st bedes parrish/st dennis/ all go to shit. and the sad thing is that a good majority of coppers live in this district. you cant get police service west of central as on many occasions i have seen squads from 008 in scummit/argo/cicero/berwyn/oaklawn/burbank and no where close to where the action is. for a long time i thought that they must be giving free coffee to the coppers at 79th cicero( southwest book and video.) little did i know this is a porn hang out for perverts and on many occassions the lot is full of 008th district squads. they should just combine the 008th/010th district as they are both ghettos now thanks to the dogs that work in these districts....signed tru copper
