Bad Timing

  • A group aimed at ending violence kicked off 'Cease Fire Week' Saturday. Cease Fire, a community organization, has worked since 2000 to end violence, especially shootings.
  • Police said a man and a woman were shot and critically wounded in a building at the Cabrini-Green housing development on the early Saturday, hours after three people were shot at a party in the same neighborhood.
Maybe if they outlawed handguns... Oh wait a minute.

"Maybe if they outlawed handguns"
Ya hit it right on the head SCC!!
And the "stuttering prick" just had an outdoor press thing where he admonished everyone who was trying to stop the machine from passing "fair gun laws"
What this does is deflect from him,the fact that he cant allow the Police to do their true job.So this idiot and the machine want to disarm everyone in the STATE because they cant control a few ghetto thugs. Yet there's no one in the the whore media to pick up on this.
Iowa,Wisconsin & Indiana continue to live their lives and laugh that WE tolerate this madness......

I THOUGHT WE HAD PLENTY OF POLICE GETTING TIME AND A HALF STANDING IN THE BUILDINGS WITH NO CARS.

YOU CAN TAKE THE CARS FROM THE PO PO BUT YOU CANT MAKE THEM RESPOND TO SHOTS FIRED.

I RESPECT THAT JUST CASH THE CHECK AND LET THE NATIVES BLOW THEIR BRAIN OUT ABOUT WHO DRANK THE LAST OUNCE OF CAVASAI>

The Cabrini Green shooting (1230 N Burling) I belive was domestic related. The one on 900 N. Hudson, not to sure. Drug related I am sure. one of these days some yuppie is going to get shot over there. Do they put any of those Special Deployment Officers by the row houses? There has been more than a handful of shootings over there lately. Not sure if that would deter it, probably not. Then again, I don't even think they give those officers cars anymore, do they? A few more years and the Greens will be down anyway.

Last night in 003 we were in a rap all night. Busiest night we've had all spring/summer. Still though, no one shot since May 28. We were on such a roll too! Busy city wide?

The gun lifestyle is an American ideal. Only in America do people have to have guns. America is full of all the world's trash. All the worlds bustouts fled their native lands to come here, what do you expect. "Escape from New York" is the way of life in the U.S.

What about the machete carrying man who was shot? Where are the asshole reverends calling for a ban against machetes and their suppliers. Ban firearms and people will get creative and find something else to kill you with, while you sit unprotected. As per previous discussions, I think cops should be armed with anything than carry, from a non police officer.

Fuck the yuppie's! I hope one gets one right in their forehead. These fruits would be the first one's to put a camera on us while we had to do what was necessay with some mutt. Fuck these carpetbaggers-care for the decent people: white, black, brown, green, who are prisoners in their homes after 1600 hrs. and don't live in these upscale little enclaves next to Cabrini-Green, Henry Horner, etc.

At that same press conference the Teflon Mayor spoke as if the Jefferson Tap Officers were already convicted.
Why don't we see that video from the Jefferson Tap on TV all the time like the Abatte beat down ?

Our representative, The Honorable Bobby Rush, has just introduced a bill which he says will end all of the gun violence. He proposes that ALL gun owners register their firearms in a National registry and take a firearms course. Finally, some common sense legislation! What a MORON! I bet he and his fellow Black Panthers discussed the best way to register their guns back in the day. What's wrong with these fools? Their head is so far up their ass that they have lost all common sense. Can someone please tell them that IT'S THE CRIMINALS, STUPID!!!!! They're the problem, not us, the law abiding public. Legislate against the CRIMINALS. Make them not want to be CRIMINALS anymore. Get tough on those who cause us all problems. I'm so sick of politicians at all levels, federal, state, county and especially our goose liver stopping city council. Now there is one important piece of legislation! Jeez. We have a large voice, remember, together we can. Oh jeez I'm brainwashed. Stay safe, stay aware.

Most guns on the street were legally purchased. It's the secondary sales you gotta watch. Gee, where do those retired cops guns end up? Was it sold in a tavern over a beer? How does one do a background check on a private sale? So most private gun sales are illegal.

BACKLOGS MY ASS: I wish the CPD would publish a list officers on the medical each day. (No personal or medical information) Just an up to date list of the names. An f/2 neighbor of mine with 2 years on the job and already inside, of course, actually brags about working 2/3 days a week. Now she is pregnant and off again. Another 008 useless slug taking up a position on the CPD. Give us the names!

how long does the boy commander from 018 stand in the buildings? does he walk there? A leader must do what he wants his men to do correct? Or forget he is not a leader just a clout boy on sisters dress strings! SHOW US HOW TO WALK COMMANDER! PLEASE SHOW US YOU CAN LEAD! LIKE YOU DID IN THE MARINE UNIT WHEN THEY HAD A HUGE PARTY AFTER YOU LEFT TO CELEBRATE YOUR LEAVING!

Hate to burst your bubble but, yes, the Commander of 018 is out on the street, in the buildings, doing street stops, contact cards. He asks NOTHING from the guys that work for him that he isn't out there doing.

The only people who don't care for him are the people who have decided they have "done their time" and are done working. The workers have no complaints about him.

Political hacks Steve Georgas and Leo Schmitz appear to be the front runners for the annual Joseph Curtin Award.

What else do they have in common? Just ask those officers they hung out to dry.

I remeber Joe Curtain and these men sir are no joe curtain! What a memory him and john corliss one night in 008 were in the lounge at 61st and kedzie the velvet hammer and they got to drinking heavy as usual and then they went out to the parking lot to fight what a scene! Maybe ric flair and the fatman could wrestle in the greens a PPV to raise money to buy police vehicles for the blue shirts that do all the work at cha! what a concept it would reunite old school with new school! what a sight this would be! Or maybe they could do a boxing match CPD vs CFD the charity event it would fun hell I would buy a table!

to 6/13/2007 08:41:00 AM,

I, too, was in the Velvet Hammer that night. Or at least a night when Joe fought Corliss. Funny, funny shit.

But I saw Joe in two fist fights in the parking lot across the street from the Velvet Hammer. One was in the summer and one was in the winter. I cannot remember if the Corliss fight was the one I saw with ice and snow on the ground. I think it was, AND IT WAS A SCREAM!

Was there ice and snow on the ground when you saw him fight Corliss? Or was Joe and Corliss mixing it up a regular thing and I just happened to see one of the bouts?

The other fight I saw was betweeen Joe and one of his detectives from the old A/3. It was pretty good, too, but not as good as Joe and Corliss going at it!

This was warm night, it was "old school" big time watching them go at it! If you knew them it was something to see! that was when police were the police and men were men, and craziness was a virture! now with the advent of cameras and smaller video you cannot do anything like that! the old days on cpd were defintely much better now they will fire you and send you to daleys friend devine then to prison!
