Pfleger the Pfool
Rev. Michael Pfleger, pastor of St. Sabina’s Church, went way over the top this week. During a protest against Chuck’s Gun Shop, Father Pfleger twice threatened to “snuff out” the shop’s owner and threatened the same fate for legislators who oppose his position on gun control.
“We’re gonna find you and snuff you out,” Fleger [sic]said about the gun shop owner, likening the man to a “rat.” He later repeated his threat to “snuff out” the owner.
Fleger [sic] also had this to say to state legislators who vote against gun control measures.
“We’re gonna snuff out legislators who are voting [garbled] against our gun laws and we’re coming for you because we are not going to sit idly.”
- Vince Clark, a spokesman for Pfleger, told Cybercast News Service Wednesday that the pastor wasn't aware of the violent connotation of "snuff" and didn't mean to threaten bodily harm.
"I've never heard that compared before with the word murder," Clark said. "He [Pfleger] was never aware of that. If that was the case he would never have used that language."
Clark said Pfleger's use of the word "was meaning 'to expose' but to do no bodily harm."
Well, we hope that John Riggio, owner of Chuck's Gun Shop, takes all lawful and legal means to protect himself, his family and his completely legal, Federally licensed and State of Illinois licensed business in light of these threats. And if a certain priest accidentally gets "snuffed" (to wit - "exposed" as defined by the Pfool) then all the better for society.

As a devout Christian, I find Pfleger's antics disgraceful. Last week, He had Farrakhan, Nation of Islam, preaching from his Catholic pulpit. This "man of God" is egocentric and is in violation of the 2nd Commandment. He has abandoned the God of the bible and bows at the alter of his own counterfeit god.
He may pull the wool over the eyes of his flock, but God is not fooled. Jesus warned of the Day of Judgement in which He will say to those who deceived, much to their surprise, "Depart from me! I never knew you!"

I think it is time for the Catholic Church to get this asshat out of that neighborhood. This "man" does nothing but bad mouth the police and place the blame of his parish on the whites and then turns around and says it is all right to snuff out a legal business owner and politicians. As a Catholic I am appalled at the statements this so called "Man of God" has made. Assault must place a person in immediate reasonable apprehension of receiving a battery.
For example, driving away from someone shaking your fist yelling "I am going to kick your ass" is not an assault.
Telling someone to watch your back while walking away from them likewise is not an assault.
Assault is not something that might happen in the future it is now. The victim would need to be in immediate fear of receiving a battery.
In stalking cases, there must be a threat along with the surveillances, following,etc. and the threat does not need to be an assault.

My cousin went to St. Sabina in the '60s. Apparently it has now declined to the wretched state of the Chicago Public Schools. And speaking of the Chicago Public Schools, the "Chancellor(?)" was on CNN the other night proclaiming to the credulous Anderson Cooper that rather than the total inability of Chicagoans to either control their children or act like human beings, it was (in effect) the fault of some guy in Coshocton, OH who owns a Glock that "children" in Chicago are getting shot. He had of course no explanation for why so MANY fewer "children" are getting shot in Cleveland, supposedly the "poorest city in the US". A couple of minutes of watching that imbecile was more than enough to show anyone why a Chicago Public School education is the equivalent of a lobotomy.
Of course a fifteen year old "child" DID get shot in Cleveland recently. He was trying to rob a guy at gunpoint on his front lawn. Too bad [for the "child"]the guy had his CCW permit and shot the little moron dead. Given that Daley, Jackson, Pfleger et al treat Chicago's Black community as a sort of "game preserve", these self-proclaimed "game wardens" would have been horrified at the idea of one of the "antelope" growing fangs and claws and disemboweling one of the "lions" over which they fawn. Apart from friends and family of the deceased idiot, public opinion, INCLUDING TH E MEDIA, has been 99.99% on the NON-criminal's side.

I was involved in an arrest with Pfleger 10-12 years ago in 017 when he invaded an advertising company that had tobacco billboards. He even had a CPD body guard in a suit.

Well, let's see the key word being reasonable apprehension.
That fear must be that a battery is imminent.
Not feels at a future date.
Reasonable apprehension means NOW.
I am not saying he didn't disturb the man's peace or anything like that I said he wasn't assaulted.
Whether you feel or not, there is plenty of case law out there supporting my position that assault there must be immediate reasonable apprehension of receiving a battery.
Talk to a state's attorney or a lawyer because you my friend are dead wrong.

There are even U.S. 7th Circuit Cases dealing with the issue.
Francis Cardinal George knows that Fr. Pfleger is unloyal to the Church and a serious impediment to discipline. The Cardinal attempted to move him to a new parish but Fr. Pfleger refused to go and began stirring up the pot, calling it RACISM.
The Catholic Church is not unlike SCC. They are not a DEMOCRACY, orders are orders. Fr. Pfleger is and should be EXCOMMUNICATED for DISOBEDIENCE.
Like society in general there is a breakdown of DISCIPLINE AND OBEDIENCE within the Church. Sometimes you have to cut off the limb to save the body.

Perhaps you should have stopped there. It seems to me that Pfleger has, more than any other public Catholic, remained true to the spirit of the Gospels. You would do well to revisit them yourself--we all would.

I think it's time for ALL good Catholics to start cutting back their donations to the Church until the higher ups remove Pflager, who is nothing but an opportunist political WHORE.
