Ric Flair Strikes Again

  • Chicago Police seized 992 pounds of marijuana Friday evening from the garage of a Southwest Side apartment building.

The stock of drugs, wrapped as if it had recently been shipped, has a street value of $2.7 million, Chicago Lawn District Cmdr. Leo Schmitz said.
That's a lot of weed boys. WOOOO! HOOOOO!!!

As a retired Exempt I can tell you that Leo was foolish walking in late to anything that the Mayor and other Exempts attend like a recruit graduation. He would have done better being absent rather than call attention to himself by being late. Hope he learns, there is no future keeping yourself in the spotlight. Being nonchalant, much like Hiram Grau, is the way to go.

I would imagine he was late for the graduation, because he was working. The guy is kind of high strung, and is always on top of things. Dear Commander Georgass,
I've been seeing new Commander Schmitz on the news daily. How come you aren't making appearances? Maybe you should overly micro-manage us in 018 and come into work for 20 hours straight, come on the zone and say 1800 at least 60 times a shift and think of whatever stupid things you could possibly come up with. Then maybe we'll get good pinches and do our job real well.

I've noticed activity dipping a little bit? Your presence is truly needed here. Help me write this parking ticket and I'll sign my name. Have the zone send me to the row houses so I can not produce any arrests outside of here. What other resources can you waste while still having the police not doing sh** for you. I just hope you can look at your Greek God self in the mirror every day and like what you see.

Remember, look down on the Patrolman. They are beneath you. You are a Commander! Who cares what a stupid patrolman thinks?
That's just what Daley told you, right?

"the watch, mostly muts, as you see it"
Keep patting yourself on the back kiddo. Those "mut" watch guys do more work in a week than you will do in five years on the tact team. You are the one that sold your soul to wear blue jeans. Just keep doing what is asked of you, producing useless numbers for the boss. Nothing wrong with that, but don't knock the blue shirt that will probably give you the best pinch you have had in six months because they have been in court three times this week already and they are tired. Further, if you are the 008th district tact team, quit bullshittig, you guys couldn't find a drunk in Ireland. You have a lot of gall talking down about the blue shirt coppers. Dickhead!!

He 'seems' articulate, down to earth, & ready to lend a hand to all of you on the streets. I see many of you around here, short-handed & busting your ass in this zoo.

I'll guess I'm going to find about how sincere he is, because my next project is to put a small police memorial tribute here in Clearing. Are any of you aware that the FOP/Congress Lipinski established a fund for neighborhoods that would like to build a small police memorial?

I have no clue how to do this so will need to go to Commander Schmitz to see if he can me out with this since it's in the 008th but do have some ideas how it should look...

The patrolmen are the ones to thank and he did. If you have attended a role call in 008 the first thing he said is good work by the policemen. He will have to justify their overtime but ya know what he let them stay. Good for him. take care of who takes care of you. It was their pinch and he let them run with it. He got them help/guidence to get things done that needed to be done.
Luck Yeah the pinch may have luck to thank. But when the dumbass is talking + you listening + You investigating= police work. The majority of police work is luck(being at the right place at the right time) knowing what b.s. is for real and what is not. At least these p.o.'s didn't go take hide like a lot of p.o's do.
As far as the flack jacket goes. I do think it is a bit much but. If i had it and i was worried about getting dead and not coming home to my family i would probably wear it. Wouldn't you. To those who slam him for it. I have a question. Do you take you gun with you whereever you go? I know i do. It is better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it!
I really don't know this guy that much but i see him at work and he always says thank you/ good work.
I do hear him on the radio alot, taking jobs and codeing domestics I even heard him do a time check.
Now that is a boss. The one thing i did notice was that all of his p.o's where standing behind him when he was on the news. I don't think that was by mistake. And if ya don't see the coppers i am sure it has something to do with editing by the media. well i am done with my rant. one last thing. There is nothing wrong with using clout to advance yourself just remember where you came from. what it is like to be stacked 3 deep with your lunch denied and the other car down on a distb. for 2 hrs.

Corliss was a fighter, I think not. Corliss could'nt punch his way out of a wet paper bag. I do remember Joe Curtin kicking the shit out of Corliss out in the middle of Kedzie Ave. right in front of the Velvet Hammer cocktail lounge. Corliss was a wimp that tried to play that intimidation game with people, he played it with the wrong person when he tried Joe Curtin, Curtin mopped the street with him. Corliss and all his "people" were all assholes and a few are still on the Tac. team in 008.

Yeah I agree John Corliss was a Whimp. A big blow heart but he did have some people bullshited. There were several people like Commander Curtin that saw thru Corliss. Corliss scared people who were not on to him. People that were in fact the real police knew that he was a big bag of hot air. Harley Schinker was scared to death of John Corliss as was James Hollingsworth both former Commanders of 008 when Corliss was Deputy Chief of area one.
