Officers Shot
Channel 9 just had a breaking story.
Two CPD coppers shot in the 5000 block of Adams. One en route to Mt. Sinai. No word on the other or conditions. Updates to follow as available.
UPDATE (2145 hours): Woman with a shotgun was firing at officers. Both hit with pellets - stable condition. Offender shot dead.
We still haven't gotten word from Iowa if the officers will be arraigned in Dubuque. We'll let you know as soon as information becomes available.
UPDATE (2220 hours): The Tribune is starting to flesh out details. The number of officers hit has climbed to THREE total.

15, like every where else, is low on manpower. The mutts are figuring this out and using it to their advantage.
Every specialized unit in the dept. should be sent in to send
a message. Then, move on to

One officer shot in the head ( a graze wound ) and the two other officers were shot in the arm. All taken to Mt. Sinai and were reported to be in good condition. THANK GOD!!

Funny thing is, my partner and I were obtaining evidence for a court case at Homan Square that night. As we parked our squad and walked from the parking lot to the building we said hello to these officers. Ironic as it is, lets watch our backs everyone any watch we work could be our last. May St. Michael be watching out for all of us, and God bless those officers, I hope they recover without any complications.

The new 9mm +p hollow points are fine. If you were stuck with ball ammo, then carry a 45. Also for your info, The Hague prohibits the use of hollow/dum dum bullets in warfare. But they allow grenades and landmines?
