The man was riding a bicycle in the 1500 block of West North Shore Avenue when the gun he was carrying, possibly in his waistband, discharged about 12:30 a.m., according to a Rogers Park District police lieutenant.

I liked the concerned look on momn's face in the Tribune picture. They didn't real go into the fact that his brothers are 2-2 Boys. Was he the unintended target? Probably. Is he likely to be a 22 Boy after this less than random act of violence? Probably. The media is trying to convince the public that if a 12 year old playing football can get shot, so can anyone. I would suggest, to lower your chance of getting shot, not playing catch with gang bangers so close to the territory line.

The Sun-Times said the guy shot himself in the leg...think again. I've read the report-dude shot himself in the "penile region". If that isn't poetic justice, I don't know what is!
