The list doesn't matter to 95% of the dept, so why even bring this nonsense up? Unless you were actually on the list, then it doesn't fucking matter!
That's the problem with this dept. You keep making these ASSHATS feel entitled or special. They fucking got dumped, because they were rogue cops pure and simple. If they didn't have 10 or more CR#s, they would still be in SFG. I say good riddance to the lousy fucks. Maybe now that they are in the working districts, they will actually become policemen?
The SOS guys bidding out of their dump district further shows they were never the REAL POLICE. Go make your phone calls to whoever clout jagoffs. Remember, there are only a few bids for 001, so you had better have some years on. Your clout ass is going to have to go to a shitbird district somewhere. Maybe even mine. Lord, I hope not. Speaking for my Northside Chicago SOS brothers, I believe we were really screwed by the SOS list. Sorry Southsiders, but you are on your own. I think its ingenious how the list has disappeared? The list confirmed which of us SOS personnel could stay and which were to be dumped? Well, based on what Cmdr Green stated about any po with 10 CR#s was dumped, I find that misleading. I have nowhere close to five and I was spit back to the district. Many of my brothers also were spit back and had no idea why?
You can bet your ass that the SFG has been told to hide and distort info concerning the now infamous list. Trust me, if the list ever turns up, there will be hell to pay. Long live the memory of SOS!!!

if you want to know who was on the list just check the data warehouse (soon) because they are all still assigned to 153 and detailed to their new unit. The few that were detailed into 153 at the dump had their detail cancelled so you wont know those, they just returned to their old assignment.
Who cares about the SOS guys. They got dumped. Good riddens. How many citywide units do we need anyway. The SOS guys were nothing but a bunch of mooks anyway.

I agree with what other officers said about not talking to these SOS guys. I've been around long enough to know when somebody is trying to save his skin. These dumped officers are in some trouble and they are doing their best to keep quiet.
My guess is that these 150 or so officers are either involved in the 63rd bar scandal or are in serious trouble because of CR allegations...you know over 20, etc...facing BIS. I've got a feeling that these were some bad seeds. Just looking at them lets me know they aren't playing by the rules.
Stay away from them. There is something seriously wrong with this SOS dumping. And why the fuck are they being dumped to 001? We aren't short like the Shitside districts.

The five year burn-out is pretty common. Now it's time to relax and start coasting. You are confident in your ability to handle most things; you can tell right off now which jobs are bonafide and deserve your time and effort, and which are B*LL and can been blown off pretty quickly. If you have a good steady partner, stick with it. That's the hardest thing to get on this job. Be more efficient in the radio assignments and spend more time hunting, doing street and vehicle stops, developing informants or information. Even beat cars can write warrants. Take some promotional exams. Who knows, by the time you really get burned out, one may pop for you. If you're not happy in partners, move to another district. It's a great way to meet people and learn about this (still) great city. If you are still miserable, start looking for another job or some hobbies, or you'll turn into one of the whiny cry babies you read here all day. Good luck to you. There are more of you than the do-nothings. And the advice about the beer is good, too. Cheers!

Why the hell are we getting misty for the SOS Saps. That's another of the many units subject to the no-bid process, they volunteered their sponsor,chinaman,whack made sure they got there. Once safely ensconced in Unit#153 they did their sponsors bidding. Hence, their actions criminal& otherwise went unchecked,resulting in their eventual demise. That Unit along w/ TRU should have been disbanded years ago. Nothing more than another political arm of this department that betrays the public trust& damages the rest of us. GOOD RIDDANCE!!

"the list" is on the data warehouse, type in unit of assignment 153 it shows where everyone got dumped to (detailed to). the faxes that went to the districts only contained the names of officers going to that district.
Confirmed report of DANA calling SWAT and asking for the racial profile of the SWAT guys. Days later 16 guys removed. I guess the unit was not black enough. Can you stop and imagine if ,say a white superintendent were to call the fugitive apprehension unit and ask for that units racial profile. Someone confirm this rumor. Apparently the other night TRU called an HBT somewhere in 009 on Marshfield. Commander Roy gets there and flat out REFUSES to direct a fire truck into the scene to rescue an officer who was trapped on the roof with the bad guy just below him (who had an access hole to the roof.) Apparently Gene-o (who makes no bones about hating TRU) was overheard saying something to the effect of "good for them, they think they know so much"
"GOOD FOR THEM???" you have a PO trapped on a roof with what was thought to be an armed and dangerour man wanted for Armed Robbery and this J.O. says "good for them" whose side is he on anyway?

Roy is a total asshole. If 009 ever wants to improve it's image, it needs to bounce Roy. He seems to flat out REFUSE to help officers. He flat out refused to aid officers in trying to capture the Area One detective shooter. He flat out refused to help with the HBT incident mentioned in a previous post. He flat out refused to allow SOS officers to come to his district after they were dumped. He flat out refused to be faithful to his wife in 017. He flat out refused to be a decent boss. Fuck the piece of shit!

Hey, why don't we dump every unit or district that has had any officers involved in a scandal. No one would be left. Lets move on. The officers involved in the S.O.S. bullshit have been arrested or stripped over a two years ago.
And talking about the special bid, anyone who has any time on the job has seen this before( Housing, School Patrol, etc). The department details the officers involved to districts and then opens a bid for opennings in districts. If you think it's special treatment, ask any officers involved in a unit that had been disbanded and see how the rest of the department turns on them. And no, I never worked in S.O.S., but in my 25yrs on this job one thing I have learned is that our own officers are the first to turn on each other.
