• • Further translation: The thin blue line is now looking red hot.
"A majority of the six" will plead guilty meaning at least four? Then we have the twelve cooperating witnesses, most of which will have admitted to Administrative Charges of some sort leading to suspensions and firings. And we've heard there are at least a few resignations that have been processed already.
The grand total of people losing jobs, resigning in disgrace or going to prison? It's going to be large.

Very sad. BUT, neccessary!
Off topic I know, but did anybody read John Kass today in the Tribune? A very good article regarding Mike Mette. He compares the outcry to keep George Ryan out of jail to the silence regarding the railroading of Mette. He basically says that Mike is paying for the sins of Finnigan, Abbate, the crew involved in the Jefferson Tap incident etc. I don't always agree with Kass, and people that I respect have told me that he plays both sides against the middle, but I think he has a point today. He has done more than anyone else in the media to help Mike Mette and keep his case in the forefront.
I forgot to add in my previous post. If you really want to help Mike Mette, don't just call but take the time to write a letter. Actual letters mean much more than just phone calls or even e mails. Anyone can call, but it takes time and effort to sit down and write a letter. If you do write, keep the letters short, to the point, and most of all be courteious and polite. According to Sneed today, they are going up the chain and checking on some of the gifts that were given to supervisors. They are also trying to pull supervisors logs. Don't know how they can do that, aren't supervisors logs only retained 3months, or did someone at IAD or the States Attorney's office already take the logs? Anybody know or care to comment.

Rumor is four-and five figure packages may have been dropped under their Christmas trees. Rumor? Scuttlebutt? Its obvious your unnamed source was an anonymous comment posted under "Finnigan Names Names" on 10/30/2007 at 09:54 pm.
Word of advice. Don't believe every comment posted on this blog. The National Enquire is more credible than your rag paper.
I retired on 15 Oct. 07 after 31 yrs. of fun and music and dont want to be asso. with the on going criminal investigation. I'm not going to give my name as I'm going to exercise my right to the 5th.

I read the excellent article written by John Kass this morning. As usual, John has his way of telling the truth. I also agree that Mike Mette is the sacrifical lamb and paying the price for the sins of his brothers. Sure wish FOP would forget about their yearly Christmas Party, and use the money to rent buses for those of us who would protest against the injustice.

How many times over the years does everyone think about the risks and embarrassment to themselves, their families, kids, and brothers, etc.if they did something wrong and it jeopardized their paycheck, kids college funds, marriages, etc? When you went to court countless times and saw the bad guys families and not all of them were sh*theads like their relatives or offspring were. Don't tell me it never ever crossed your mind...."Man, I could never do this kinda pain to my family". If you never thought that, then you are from the same gray matter league as the "Special Operation Stooges". "Oh stop. They have wives and familes. Stop bashing them. Have respect." Well, they have no honor. No respect. and they are CRIMINALS. So the media is dragging them through the street.....They have no one to blame but themselves. THEY knew the risks. Stop acting like you are protecting their families. You are only trying to protect a faded paper image, your pride and your ego. An image once real. An image built of the blood and sweat of righteous coppers that once made Chicago Police something of respect and admiration. Yes, there has always been dirt and politics and 3%ers but now it is a plague. Suck it up and admit it. Some of you crybabies aren't concerned about their poor families. You are worried about the public disdain and tidal wave of crap that's going to come back because you helped make and protect cops like them. CPD will never be the same. The 'good ole days' are done. What do you expect the media to do?... This is a scandal bust wide open. Dig out their altar boy pictures and go public with your sorrow like all the phony Mama's and relatives we have all made fun of. Hypocrites.
Remember, this is only the beginning. Many more scandals floating just below the surface are gonna come up as a result of this. Ask yourself...if the media followed me around, how good would I smell at the end of my watch?...

I agree with last part about media following us around! they are out there for a story,so watch your back 8 for 8! Do the job as "see nothing" and do the least in keep out of shit! "simple as that"!

She also is a friend of eddie burke stays at his castle in Ireland that is why she will never say anything negative about him! Maybe he wants Starks out so he can put another one of his mob in? Like he did recently with Leo in 008?
