- Mayor Richard Daley said Thursday that he knew nothing about allegations his administration pressured business owners to sell property in Bridgeport to clout-heavy residential developers.
Daley also said he was not aware the FBI is now investigating the matter.
"I never heard of that," Daley said of the allegation.
What this goof doesn't know would fill three or four encyclopedias. Faster Mr. Fitzgerald.

Apparently, richie hasn't been made aware of the very thin line between exercising his right to remain silent, (to not be compelled to say or do anything that might conceivably be incriminating), and those acts, statements or admissions which may very well constitute obstruction of justice charges being brought against him.
To state that he does not know something he can be proven to know, or have known, could, (if said denial of knowing or having known impedes or obstructs an ongoing investigation into possible criminal conduct, past, present or being planned for the future), be construed as an act violating the federal statues prohibiting the obstruction of justice, a federal felony which can, upon conviction, result in, I believe, a sentence of up to 10 years imprisonment.

The President of Citicorp just resigned. He didn't have knowledge of all the bad loans his company made, but being the boss, he was responsible. When businesses fail, the boss often resigns because responsibility ultimately rests at the top. It's called accountability. There is NO accountability in City Government. Sergio and Banks wanted the land presently occupied by the Dog Stop a restaurant that takes care of the PoPo to build condos. When the owner told him that the land was not for sale he had city inspectors keep citing her for minor infractions that are 100 times worse for the same violation in a westside restaurant.

I've noticed posts about the Mayor's appearance lately. I guess I'm not the only one who has noticed. He looks like shit. He ALWAYS needs a haircut. Most of the time his face looks oily and sweaty and his clothes look rumpled. Very odd, considering his father was known for being one of the best dressed Mayors.
His wife should really have a talk with him.
