Cops Hurt
In the paper and in the comment sections:
A car reportedly ran a red light and struck a police squad car, injuring five people including two police officers on Wednesday morning in a South Loop intersection, police said.
An EMS Plan I was initiated at 4:43 a.m. for the traffic crash at State Street and Roosevelt Road, according to a fire department dispatcher.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery officers.

Off topic.... ODSGT took his own life this evening, sad,and the public wonders why cops drink.....
If anyone knows anyone having problems please talk to them......
DUI for the goofball that was driving.
Hope they are OK! Hope they also stay iod until they are fully recovered! Lastly did the idiot that hit them have insurance?
I was there. Can't believe the P.O.s weren't hurt worse.
Feel mo betta soon!!
May the Sgt rest in peace
any other information
Let us all hope that they are okay.....
Kinda on the topic - A PO was hurt last night in 5, when his partner ran over him with the patrol car. They were on one of the many area two mission team things - with cops who are too young, too dumb, and too full of piss and vinegar without a clue how to do things.
Cop will be oaky - but I think he and his partner will not be talking to each other for some time....
Slow down and be safe kids - slow down and be safe! You can still work, just be SMART about it.
FYI; Heard the ODSGT was going to make it....not that it makes his intention any less disturbing, but he has has a long history of issues....Good luck Sarge
Here's hoping the P/O's are ok and make a speedy recovery. My prayers are with them.
Kindly refer to piece before this. Red light/camera/photograph so the perp can't say "it was yellow", "it was green", or any other of the patentened defenses that will get them off. Judges still believe that because we have the medical we can be off with pay for however long it takes to recover. So why punish to poor citizen with no proof he actually ran that nasty red light anyway.
We all have a long history of issues.
