Our Favorite Time of Year
The ban, for key arterial streets, begins Saturday Dec. 1st at 3 a.m. It remains in effect until April 1, according to a city Department of Streets and Sanitation release.
Cars parked on critical arterial streets with a posted seasonal overnight restriction will be ticketed and towed between the hours of 3 a.m. and 7 a.m., whether or not there's snow on the ground, the release said.
Just thought we'd give everyone 3 hours notice to move their cars.

I hated that shit when I was on the job, playing "Nacht und Nebel" with poor people's cars. Just to make the fat cat EandR Towing, and the politicians rich.
Watch out for those drivers, doing something called "stacking". It is illegal, they grab a couple of cars, pull them not to the pound but to an out of the way area. They tow the whole strip, then take the cars to the pound. It's not about snow and traffic, it's about money.
Yeah move, or someone will give you a ticket and tow you.....sure the hell won't be me. Go out there boys and girls and generate revenue for this city that doesn't give a shit about you.

I'm RDO this weekend but rest assure that when I go back I will ticket and tow all the cars possible because I'm on midnights and there is nothing to do.....CANT WAIT!

I actually love watching the news this night. There is always some idiot who is on there complaining. Hey dufus, read the signs. And it is usually someone who has lived here for years, not a tourist.
To the asshole who is worried about the late night drinkers and their parking. I have been a late nght drinker for nearly 40 years and have been able to find legit parking every night I was out there. Stop worring about us, stay nice and warm in your little footie PJs so you can get enough rest to be at your phony-baloney job at 35th St.

E&R Towing used to be a State Police tow company for District 4 in Crestwood years ago. An annual audit of the place conducted by our Vehicle Identification Bureau found that they were involved in auto thefts and stolen car parts. They were immediately dumped from the ISP tow list. Now they're working for the city towing cars? I feel sorry for the people who's cars get hooked by these thieves. - Retired ISP

If you are en ex parking enforcer why are you STILL enforcing it? Why do you want to generate more money for the mayor? So he can pay the next sup 400,000?
Just don't do what somebody does every winter and start ticketing streets with the "No Parking When There Is 2 Inches of Snow." There has to be a whole chain of Snow Ccommand big deal ball rolling to get that started.

GEEZES WTF is a TMA gonna do........Weel he already answered that.....be as big of a dog as he was before......... what he was doing as a USELESS TMA only now he will be geting paid triple to do the same thing.......Most likely an ex gangbanger/dealer from the west or southside who rides the CTA , but I guess I have to give hime some credit for getting paid triple to do absolutely nothing. Just hope you don't show up whne I am working and I find out who you are cuz you may have a drop case to deal with.
