Crook County Again
- All Cook County residents would have to buy a $40 vehicle sticker for each car they own under a proposal two County Board commissioners are floating to help plug a budget deficit now pegged at $238 million.
The county already charges a so-called "wheel tax" on vehicles owned by people living in unincorporated areas. Commissioners Joseph Mario Moreno and Roberto Maldonado, both Chicago Democrats, want to expand that tax to vehicles in municipalities, including Chicago, where the vehicle-sticker fee recently was raised for sport-utility vehicles.
The good news?
- A countywide vehicle sticker might face an uphill climb to becoming reality, however.
Never say never in Crook County though. Keep voting for democrats - keep getting those taxes raised.

It's not an original idea....but most of us here already knew that. Research the budget/layoff stories of the Daily-Herald going back to no later than October 2007 and up to January of 2008. One of the things the DuPage County Board was considering instead of laying off deputies, probation officers, and ASA's was?????.....you guessed it!....VEHICLE STICKERS. So, CROOK county steals that idea. Nothing original there. I'm surprised someone from that shithole administration actually would READ the Daily Herald. Too bad the taxpayers are such dumbasses and keep putting these dufuscrats in office. And they do it without the Kool Aid! Amazing.
And it keeps getting better. What's next, an air tax?
I can barely afford my car to begin with and this is how democrats, the champions of the working class, reward me for not doing drugs, supporting my family, not committing any crimes, and not being a burden on the city/county/state.
Keep milking the people who work the hardest - vote democrat!
I feel like hitting the medical for a few days since I'm being taxed for everything, and I know where all the money goes. I want to feel what getting paid to sit at home and being an unproductive member of society feels like for once. Maybe the tact team can come over and lock me up for DOPW just so I can get the full effect.

Whats funny is this all could have been avoided had people wised up and voted in Peraica for county board president. I laugh when I hear people moaning about the tax hikes and all the county monies going to a fair share of society that doesn't contribute, then I ask them who they voted for in the County Board race and they won't answer or get argumentative.
I won't say its the absolute answer but it sure as hell has to be better than the current set of so called leaders of County government.

To let you know there is an "air tax" on any business that has a sign that hangs away from the building the tax is $220.00 every 6 months and is called you guessed it and "air tax"! Steal daley like father like son and your son!
If enacted I will not buy one and I will not enforce it.

Why am I not suprised...
Speaking of milking, I'll be sure to take every minute of my lunch from now on, even if it means sitting in the parking lot; I'll be walking in on the dot and when midnights doesn't show up, I'll be walking out on the dot; I'll have the city pay for my Masters or PhD, just like they do for all the clout heavy pricks, and get the hell out of this shit hole.
I wonder if any of these demorats know how much it bothers me to say these things and to get chased out of MY city. To say that I want to live elsewhere. To leave the city my family and I worked, lived and died in.
