Savor the Irony
- An anti-violence rally at George Washington High School turned ugly Thursday when a series of fights broke out in a crowd of students being dismissed for the day.
Parents and students had gathered at 3 p.m. to protest what they said has been escalating violence between black and Latino students at the school, at 3535 E. 114th St. on the Far Southeast Side.
Tensions between the groups have persisted for years, parents and students said. But this week has been particularly violent, with several flare-ups that caused some parents to pull children out of school for their safety. Several parents said they would not allow their children to return to school until the violence was addressed.
Looks like we'll need another fifty or so bodies out of headquarters to man the cars down south since the fifty already out are being utilized exclusively on the west side. Another band-aid.

In the city, thugs can beat, usually girls, with their fists, feet, sticks every day and nothing is done. The pattern is beat, rape and shoot to death. Both students at Crane mother's had been victims of violence at that school also, in keeping with the pattern of violence on girls that's under-reported. A male adult was just convicted of sex with underage high school student. See how it fits the pattern?

Off the topic rant from the 025 Indian burial ground. So on 3-APR-08 there is a shooting in 025 and Sgt. C.H. is in charge of the crime scene and he doesn't know what the fuck he is doing and he takes a rake from the yard and implants it onto the ground and he has no other clue as to what to do! The detectives come and see how everything is so damn disorganized and finally the w.c. from 1st watch rips into Sgt. C.H. What a buffoon Sgt. C.H. is. Oh, and later in the evening three officers get into a fight with an offender and the T.R.R. has to be completed and such and Sgt. C.H. is helping them. I truly believe that on that night, Sgt. C.H. burned up all 13 of his brain cells! He is an incompetent goof!
George Washington Highschool located in area made up of 88% white, 12% hispanic and 0% black. The school is now made up of 32% and the other whopping 68% is black and hispanic brought in by school or cta bus. hmmmm. there was never and I mean never any problems with shootings, gangs, drug dealings, tagging you name until they scum filled the school. truth hits ya right in the face. and to top it off its located in the dog ass cop filled district that the police could give a rats ass about the good people in the neighborhood. ps - I hate King Daley
I live 6 blocks from Washington H.S. The problem here is the high number of students coming here from miles away. The black vs. hispanic gangs run the school. On a normal day, you can walk thru the halls and cannot hear yourself think because of all the disruptions.
Last year there were 3 shootings within a block of the main entrance all within several weeks. Numerous students cut every day and roam the neighborhood and thru the alleys.
The beat car cannot possibly handle the size of this beat. I know this is the same story at dozens of schools. The 4th. dist. is about the same/if not larger than the 16th. dist. and many of the beats are enormous and could never be patrolled in any effective manner on any of the 3 watches. Plus when it gets warm out, there are shootings galore, mostly in the 10 and 20 sectors. Tonight we have 10 one man cars on the 1st watch, way below manpower, and they will work their butts off trying to keep up, but like everywhere else, they are severely understaffed. J-Fed are you coming out to play tonight? Maybe you can bring Dana Alexander if he's not with one of his dollies!
Where is Arne Duncan now? At his office downtown? And Mayor Silly, you need to spend more time around the neighborhoods without that entourage of reporters and your entire staff to surround you and protect you.
Our Alderman (Pope) is a useless turd who thinks he is a black/hispanic who understands the situation. (We think he wants to wear his pants down around his boxers so he can signify that he is in). He is a Daley appointee who knows when to kiss ass, but doesn't know when he is standing in a pothole. Just another politician sucking up our cash.
We learned decades ago that busing does not work, so why are students going crosstown to go to school? It's a huge waste of time and money (our money).
The staff teachers are terrified to do anything for fear of losing their job or their lives, so everyone just sticks their head in the sand and hopes for tomorrow!
And that's why I spend the Money to send my kids to a private school and don't let them ride public transportation. I don't want to get that call that my kid has been shot, stabbed, or bashed in the head because some animal want's to act up.
I know I cannot shelter them forever, but maybe just long enough to retire and move away from this hellhole of a city.

The above could not have been written any better it is beyond true. Keep voting Democrap in this city/county/state. Keep allowing those who give nothing to society to receive more and use up even more than that. Keep calling those who speak up against this racist, instead of what we are just fed up and frustrated. If you make more than $50,000 a year there is no reason you should be a Democrap. A side note when I voted in the last primaries on the S.W. Side I noticed that they highlight on the voter sheet who declares what party they were. My wife and I were the only two on a sheet of about 200 that were highlighted for Republican. I live within 1/2 mile from Washington and the neighborhood is great. I can go to Indiana to buy my gas and bottled water and there is no tax on food in Indiana. Then I end up paying to send my kids to a Catholic grammar school and High School. Why does this have to happen? Because I have to live in the city. Let the kids go to school in their own neighborhood wow that's an idea who's time has come. All they are doing is spreading the trash around to runin the whole city.

Where you been? The South east side has been lost for a long fucking time. District is too big and very congested. Your lucky to get any police response to crime, and when you do its about an hour or two later. Oh but parking tickets and booting is pretty agressively enforced. And don't believe the hype about the district commander. He is clueless!

CPS changes the rules now. It should be mandatory that all students wear uniforms that are neat and clean or be sent home and not to return until parent meets with the school. Immediate expulsion for any criminal act while attending school. I am sick of listening to all the nonsense every day and paying through the nose for 50% attendance by these criminals going to school. If accountability is good for the staff then it should also apply to the students and parents as well.

The schools are a microcosm of the City problems citywide. Matter a fact being on a tact team at 1300 to 1530 everyday we are jammed up on school dismissals.
What does that tell you when the WHOLE Gang and Tact and Watch is wrapped up in BABYSITTING..........
It tells you to ROB A BANK or Do some other Crime because we are all assigned to the schools.
We have some panicked Watch Commanders over the schools dismissals which are all Bullshit "play actors" bitch slappin each other and grab assing.
Once in a while something jumps off but we can't PREVENT everything no matter how much manpower you deploy there...
Oh well as long as we get a School mission number we are covered........Right?

TARA is federally funded (DHS) the fed is paying for the POs assigned (as trainers) to it as well as for the time when a PO attends as well as the PO who is working overtime to fill the spot for the PO at the training. Where is the money (CPD budegeted) going that the city doesn't have to pay for these 30 POs assigned each day as well as 50 POs attending TARA as well as their overtime replacements?
TARA is a program federally funded for a designated period of time. CPD has to get a specified number of POs trained per year, and the entire Department trained in a specified number of years. It is a money maker for the city. Just look at how they are untouchable (none have been sent to the school detail, they don't do any extra details unless it's as overtime (other members of academy have their work schedule changed to do details i.e. Bud Biliken).

The 30 setor of 004 has been underpoliced for decades. It's actually a mirror of 008. When it was heavily white, the cops did little to nothing. Many a midnite copper in 004 who was assigned to the 30 (and to be assigned to the 30, you had to "live" in the 30, i.e. WHITE) got to sleep in his own house, likely even in his/her own bed, for most of the night.
The 20 sector was nightly up for grabs, as were sections of the 10.
TODAY's 30 sector has a lot more problem kids living out there. I cannot understand why the cops who live and work out that way in 004 don't get more proactive about protecting their own neighborhood.
But I hear it's the same in 008, 016 and 022. Sit back and have another beer, gents. Some other Police will straighten out your problems in your 'hood.
Is it not true that the public schools get their funding based on attendance? Duncan and Daley continually talk about getting the children to school,really? What they mean is make sure no gang banging shitbag is expelled because his ass in that building means CASH.Those two shitbags could care less when a kid gets killed its all about the MONEY!

Response: are you fucking kidding me. I live in 4. I call the police ALL the time. It's a shame I have to but I do because there is 0 police presence on 433's beat. If the police even show up, it's anywhere from 1-3 hours later. This neighborhood doesn't have to be this way. It doesn't have to slip away. Put 1 or 2 cars with real workers and you can solve the problem no ifs ands or buts. Hire more police too. I pay taxes and so does EVERY and I mean every other house on the block. We all work and don't collect SSI, food stamps, public aid etc but we don't get any police service. That's fucking wrong!!!!!!!!!!!

You got "white America" out of that? You must really be feeling inferior and jealous. The thread was about AMERICANS. Not white, black, Latino or any other brand of hyphenated Americans, just AMERICANS. Blacks, whites, Asians, Hispanics in this country are Americans and they have all accomplished great things.
If you for once would put your BS racism aside and be a hard working American, you might get ahead in this country. No one cares what your color or ancestry is (except for a small minority of idiots), just what you do, how you act and what you accomplish.
No thinking person would object to a man or woman of any race who goes to work and contributes to society. The only objections from Americans are toward idiots who play the race card and demand someone give them another handout when they aren't willing to put the BS aside and get on with life in a civilized and productive manner.

It's nothing new. Even with the new commander in 025 the third watch Sgts. still leave early (i.e. they work until 9 P.M. or 10 P.M.) and split/go home. I wish I could be like them and work only four to five hours and then go home and yet still get paid for 8 hours worth of work! What a great benefit they have!
The situation with Bill Cozzi is bad. But those who worked in 025 with him knew that he had a short temper and at times, he liked/enjoyed roughing people off. Unfortunately for him, he did it in front of a camera and got caught and his past caught up with him. I told him several times that he had to be careful and he couldn't go around beating on people. But he never listened. Now he lost his job, two years worth of pay, massive amounts of legal bills and now he has to face federal charges. To all other coppers out there; don't become the next Bill Cozzi! If you do, then J-Fed will be out to get you and ruin your whole life. I pray for Bill and wish him the best.
