Oh My Lord

Have we died and gone to heaven? No, but Bill Wirtz did. And we benefit:
  • All 82 Blackhawks games will be on TV next season. All 82 in high-def. [...]

For most franchises, televising games is as elemental as selling watered-down beer. But in the Blackhawks' case, this was the fall of the Berlin Wall.

"Every Blackhawks fan has been waiting for this announcement," team Chairman Rocky Wirtz said.

Waiting and waiting. Now it's finally here.
Finally. Someone pinch us.

Those X's on the tomahawks look like Bill Wirtz's eyes! HA! Cheap fucker. He's rolling over in his grave! HA! He's rolling over in his eternal penalty box for denying us the pleasure of watching the Blackhawks all these years. Good riddance.

Rocky has become the messiah of the franchise. What an awesome year even though we're gonna fall short of the playoffs. If you get the chance to go to some games next year, don't pass it up. These kids got heart and you'll love the new exciting atmosphere reminiscent of the old days.

Let's go Wolves!!! A much better team. It's a shame they are Atlanta's minor league team. Maybe the Hawks can purchase them and give up the Ice Hogs from Rockford. Well, then again, it would ruin hockey in Chicago. Just another year of the Hawks missing the playoffs, while the Wolves march towards a championship.

Great Move, when I was a kid every Saturday at 7:00 there was an away game on Channel 9. I knew everything about the players just from that weekly game. I just hope this doesn’t hurt the Wolfs who have fulfilled most of out hockey fixes for years

I can not watch NBA basketball anymore. The sport no longer becomes a team game when players want constant individual recognition. After making a shot from a good pass per their TEAMMATE, some players run away from their TEAMMATE and towards the camera. Look at ME! Look at ME! It is an attitude from some NBA players that I can not support.

The NFL has players getting locked up every year.
http://www.listafterlist.com/tabid/57/listid/6916/Sports++Recreation/Football+Players+Who+Went+To+Jail.aspx

MLB baseball has profited by neglecting rampant steroid abuse by their players.

I will now get a chance to see a full NHL hockey season next year. I welcome the chance to see a professional team in Chicago and learn the sport. The Hawks games that I have been to have been a fun.

I know every sports league has their problems. It appears to me that NHL flies underneath the radar in comparison to the leagues that I grew up watching.

I think most people need a positive thing to rally behind. I am all for next year's Hawks on the telly. Until then I will continue to cheer for my bowling team........Splitz Happenz. We are rolling strong in 4th place.

Keep your Eyes on the Pension Prize.

Maybe I'll become interested in the Hawks again. It was great to watch the games when they only had six teams. The players were the best of the best. The talent pool is too thin nowadays, but I still love the sport.

It appears that the a lot of people are jumping on the bandwagon to hammer coppers who are "intoxicated" I don't condone drinking in excess especially if you plan on driving!!!!I for one would never want to know what it feels like to kill someone else because of my own stupidity, not to mention screwing my family and losing my job...
It seems every district has their own, "clicks" of officers that hang together, they should have some system in place that if one of them is to drunk to drive, then they can call the other one and get a ride home, no matter what time it is...Let's start looking out for each other before bad things happen and we have to have a benefit to help a jammed up copper out...

I went to my first game in 1980 and have been hooked ever since. The last 10 years have been absolutely miserable, but when I was growing up in the 80's and early 90's the Hawks were the shit! Looks like it will be that way again. All this positive change in the past year still seems like some elaborate practical joke where Bill Wirtz rises from the grave and crushes me, but thank god it hasnt happened yet.

82 GAMES!!! HIGH DEF!!! BRING BACK PAT FOLEY AND ALL IS FORGIVEN!

Investigation is showing the epicenter is old Man Wirtz's grave and the disturbance is the cheap old fucker spinning in it.

When will Chicago step it up and become a competitive team all across the board (i.e. baseball, football, hockey, etc.)?

It's a big disappointment.

Anyhow!!!...Go BEARS!
