Let me get this right: Brian Anderson tears the cover off the ball in spring training. So Ozzie puts Alexi Ramirez, the 2nd baseman, in center. He then starts Juan "You won a World Series in spite of me" Uribe at 2nd. Huh? Juan responded with a fantastic 3 strike outs with 3 men left on base and Ramirez responds with 3 strikeouts and 3 men left on base. What the fuck?!!!

just announced this morning-- all hawks games for 08-09 to be televised with wgn getting 20 of them. i can still remember seeing "red" charging up the stairs from the locker room with no helmet and the hair flopping around all over.
I saw Ernie Banks, Fergie Jenkins and Billy Williams on the field for the "first pitch but I don't ever remember Jessie Jackson being on the Cubs. Can anyone tell me why he was on the field?

Would you be talking about the blown call, that WAS blown on the missed tag of Joe Crede by the catcher at the plate? Again, video replays pretty much showed the umpire blew THIS call.
Perhaps it was the questionable call of the first basemen, Ryan Garko, who may or may not have pulled his foot off the bag at first on the close play that occured there.
Or maybe you were talking about the second questionable, and ONLY judgement call of the game, the play at second that was ruled runner interference resulting in a double play. Again, the ONLY judgment call, and when the rule reads that as long as the runner (slider) can touch the base (second) with ANY part of his body, then whatever contact between the runner (slider) and the fielder is allowed.
So, as an educated observer you can see why the Sox announcer, or any other teams announcer would be miffed. Do you really think that Ron Santo would not have jummped up to complain too?

Nope, he DID NOT try to grab him. You must have listedned to the umpires comments AFTER the game when he explained why he made the judgment call.
You see, to the visualy impaired, to whom I assume you belong too, the video did not show him grabbing. It showed him going in the slide with an open palm, across the knee, and according to MLB rules - legal.
