Two-Fer, Three-Fer
- Five people were fatally shot Wednesday afternoon inside a home in the Chatham neighborhood, police said.
Deputy chief Eugene Williams says all five victims -- three men and two women -- were in their 20s. Williams also says the house showed signs of forced entry.
Reports were also that the neighborhood was looting the house while the bodies were slowly cooling off. Not a good middle of the week following a violent weekend.

In Area 5 we currently have 24 homicides since 01 Jan 08. To give you some perspective on this number, we didn't see our 24th homicide of 2007 until 13 Jun 2007. Let the games begin. It's going to be a LONG HOT SUMMER. Kiss the Olympics Goodbye, Dickhead Daley, you silly Irish Bitch!!!

The only way that true statistics will ever be released is by court order.
Daley does not want the world to know how many murders are really committed inside Chicago because it would impact his Olympic bid in a negative fashion.
I believe every death that should be consider a homicide, during the month of May, be posted daily on the blog by date and address and number of victims and then the count could be compared with what the Department issues in it's homicide report on a Friday in June.
We would then see the differences.

How can this happen in the "middle class" Chatham neighborhood? Bullshit!!! 76th and Rhodes is about as middle class as 47th & Vincennes.
Guess what Boys and Girls - looting would happen if the shooting occurred in the "upper class" neighborhood of Pill Hill.
I was on scene, J-Fed and Burst(sp), clueless. J-Fed is out of his element when it comes to this kid of police work. We all know how crime scenes are like a famil reunion, for cops, Burst(sp) was wandering around hoping someone would talk to him, while J-Fed was curled up in the Command RV in the fetile position. J-Fed is nothing a PR TOOL!

Yes,all the offenders and victims were choir boys.
ok per i-clear, we are up 96 agg bats (o41a) and also per i-clear we are within 1 0r maybe 2 homicides.(0110) after yesterdays blessing, i believe we are up 2. go to web mapping and type in the date and ucr code. i am not sure if that goes for how many times a ucr codes have been pulled or if it goes by how many victims there are

yes on view robbery in progress, gave chase, "victims" didnt' want to go any further,(RWOC) dude was shot, shows how bold they are to shoot at eachother with the police chasing

Can't wait for the truth to dribble out about what really was going on in that house. As we all know, random home invasions or home invasion homicides are very rare. Most are targeted because of the lure of cash & valuables in the home and, in the vast majority of incidents, the cash & valuables are from illegal activity.
I hear J-Fed just came out with another idea on how to prevent more crime....
He plans on indicting more police officers!

**Officers are safe. Pulled up on an armed robbery, bad guys shooting. The bad guy was shot by one of the other bad guys. Dude that was shot is still in the hospital. Didn't find a gun or the shooter. Victims didn't want to pursue the matter.

Yah. Gangbangers have other gang bangers on the ground doing a stick up. Popo on views, gives chase to offenders, who double back. By this time 'victims' got their sh*t out and start shooting at the 'offenders'. One is hit, (by the would be victim) but complaints not signed. No guns recovered, only a case report....

Why dont you Media Types who read thes blogs each day do the following:
FOIA ( Freedom of Information Act) the department for the numbers of officers assigned to the District Law Enforcement Duties. On the Watches, assigned to patrol cars, not desk and lock up assignments. You can include Tact and Gang Teams becausw they do mostly respond to calls in their districts. Then Media Types Divide those numbers by DAYS off FURLOUGHS, MEDICALS, IODS and you will get a real picture of the numbers of POs working the streets answering calls. When you see the numbers 225-400 assigned to districts. ( Average around 280) you will wonder how we do what we do. The real answer is more police.hallenge you to get those real numbers, dont listen to the BS about TRU gangs, tact, detectives and all that other BS the real service is deliveredd by the men and women in the Blue and White District beat cars. Get those real numbers, get the manpower reports to see how many cars and wagons are unmanned every day due to no manpower. That is a story if you care to really dig into it and embarrass the mayor. Go to FOP they can verify the shortage. Any Watch Commander will tell you th esame story although most likely off the record. DOnt listen to Monique Bonds BS spin she doesnt know anything either.

WE had 5 people shot at a MCdonalds over in 6 as you know. 1 DOA and 2 Critical.......CASE REPORT 041A...........NO joke.........look it up. 041 Fucking Adam. R u kidding me.
The CPD only classifies by event anyways not by totaols of people shot in one incident. So 5 people shot only generates one event and guess what that is only 1 041a. You will never get the real nmumbers the City hides those as well as the money.
As of this post, we are up 6 homicides over last year to date.
