A Favor for the Rabbi

From a frequent reader and commentator:
  • Hope all is well,
A quick question. I am looking for a small beater car for my son.
He is attending trade school in Itasca and is looking for a small beater as means of transportation (30 miles each way from home). Body condition and mileage no problem, as long as it safe and reliable. he is looking to spend $1,500 - $2,000.
If you know of anything or maybe some older folk trying to sell a car please let me know.
    THANKS SO MUCH!!!
    Moshe cell. 773-xxx-xxxx
We removed the Rabbi's cell number since this site is seen world wide. All Chicago cops know three different places to get his number. Let's help out someone who has helped a whole bunch of cops.

I pray for you Rabbi, that somebody helps you. All the fine work you have done, I hope that the car is donated to you and the money can be used for one of your good causes.

Dear Rabbi

It sure gets me mad to remember the worlds best trade school was
on the corner of 31st and Kedzie.
Rather than submit to the new world order the trades told the city to go to hell and left.So sad

Return of EL LOCO CA CA/Return of the mad shitter says............

craigslist.com

I would suggest a mid-nineties Honda Accord or Civic, Nissan Maxima or Sentra, Volkswagon Jetta or an early to mid nineties Acura legend or Infiniti G20.

I have driven all of these cars regularly, and they have always proved themselves reliable. They are also very affordable right now.

May G-d bless you, and continue to guide you on the mission that you have undertaken.

I'm sure someone needs to get rid of aN OLD ride that fits the profile. Notice that the Rabbi also stated that his soon is buying the car, sounds like he has a responsible kid who saved his money and needs wheels for school.
Good luck finding the car.

Too funny, funny funny!

And I wish the Rabbi good fortune in his hunt for a vehicle. He is a good, kind, and genuine person, and that comes from a Catholic!I would be more than happy to send him the 2 bucks, like 5/20/2008 03:53:00 PM suggested. SCC, tell us where to send it.

Personal experience with the Rabbi... a couple years back, officer from another agency (out of state) is involved in a OIS, injured but survives. Agency looks for a Chaplain. somehow gets hold of the Rabbi. At 2am he gets into his 'battered' car and drives 4 hours. Only because a copper somewhere was hurting.

I call that a standup guy!!! I think the Jewish expression is "he is a Mensch!!!!

God bless you Chaplain for all you do for us.

Let's buy them both a car, they deserve it.

Northside,

I'm not in the market for that turbo-charged red Porsche right now.

Do you still take it on LSD at dawn on Sundays at 160 MPH. Be careful. You don't have any of your troops to block off the entrance ramps no more, sarge.

i've owned both a '95 nissan pathfinder, and a '96 toyota camry. both were good cars but when they break it costs double even triple to get them fixed compared to an american car. get a ford or chevy, they are reliable and when they break down it's pretty cheap to repair. i know that some people on here are gonna bad mouth american cars but thats cuz they are brainwashed. if you treat your car properly it will treat you properly. change the oil on time and remember preventive maintenance and you'll be fine.

My midlife crisis has been successfully resolved. No more need for speed. Matter of fact, I'm considering adding the hybrid Prius or the new Smart Fortwo microcar to my "fleet". I'll put "CAPS" stickers on the rear quarter panels just for Peter "Judas" Karl.

I'll keep my Irish Catholic ears open, Rabbi Moshe. May G-d bless you and Father Tom.

Rabbi Wolfe was at the St. Jude March, our mayor was not.

Rabbi, a small check will be in the mail from one of your friends from years ago in the 17th District. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers, needed then, needed now.

If anyone else, police or civilian, wants to send something, I suggest,

To: Rabbi Moshe Wolfe

Return of the mad shitter says.....

I definitely could not say ANYTHING bad about our Chaplains, BUT, look what this asshat, and a few others had to say....

And I wish the Rabbi good fortune in his hunt for a vehicle. He is a good, kind, and genuine person, and that comes from a Catholic!

Return of the mad shitter says....

Notice how they state that their comment "comes from a Catholic", as if that is supposed to VALIDATE the fact that the Rabbi is a good person. Just a small taste of the divisive midset that hampers the effectiveness of our department. Next, we wil have them saying something like.....'Congrats to Sen. Obama from Chicago. He's a good guy, and that comes from a 100% white/black/asian/__________ or fill in the blank!

Sad thing about this is that fact that these guys don't even realize how harmful their bigoted/predjudiced thinking is.

Wish your son the best, Rabbi Moshe. I'm sure your son will learn great things about responsiblity, being a new car owner. CPD that own or hold interest in repair shops, should give this young lad a hand, if necessary. Hopefully, he will never need it other than for regular maintenance, such as oil changes. He, like all of us, will excercise more pride in ownership is he can do it by himself. Keep him in your prayers, and we should do for ALL of our children.

PEACE!
