Daley is cutting him a no-bid city contract of some sort. It's raining as we type and more rain is predicted for Sunday:
- Shootings throughout the city have hospitalized at least 10 people late Friday through early Saturday. None of the victims, as of early Saturday, appeared to have been seriously wounded.
The Sun Times covers the same phenomenon. Channel 2 appears to have taken down it's interactive shooting map and the other links haven't updated since 11 May. Political pressure to downplay the shootings?

Except for that guy that died. They were including him in the count weren't they? I'm sure his surgical skills will be missed. Oh, thats right, his only skill with a knife was killing people.
Check out the MINS (Major Incident Notification) on CLEAR. At last count before I left work tonight over 15 were shot and an additional 3 dead since Friday.
But, I guess 18 people shot is no biggy since the 30+ back in April.
Make sure your body armor is up to date and go shoot some. It's gonna be a long, bloody summer.

How much reverend ass needs to be kissed? When the "God damn America" clan starts demanding stuff, who cares? Unless you need their votes. Or your boss needs their votes and tells you to kiss their asses.
What are they demanding? Don't arm the police because that would give them an advantage against our thugs. We like the thugs selling dope and killing our children in our clean and well maintained neighborhoods. Then we'll blame the police for the violence.
If only some business owners would hire our illiterate violent thugs and give them jobs that pay fiddy dollars an hour to bring their high work ethic and morality into those businesses things would get better. But the man just wants to keep them down.

I don't doubt for a second that the Chicago media is mum on all the shootings.
