Free Dennis!
Dennis Farina has been arrested after a loaded gun was found in his luggage at the Los Angeles International Airport on Sunday.
The veteran actor had told security personnel that he had forgotten he had the unregistered 22-calibre handgun in his hand luggage.
Remember though, we don't imprison our celebrities. They get fines and community service. Hopefully, LA doesn't hold the CPD thing against him

Unfortunately Dennis didn't retire from the job, he quit. He had 18 years service.....enough to collect a pension after turning 50 and enough to qualify for HB 218 (fifteen years), but the department doesn't consider you retired unless you do 20 years, so no star and ID card for him. Too bad.
He's a great guy and an awesome actor. C&D the weapon and give him a break would ya.

Farina packed his briefcase in Arizona before driving to his home in California. He forgot to remove the pistol from his briefcase before departing for LAX.
Being the gentleman that he is, Dennis was completely respectful, polite and cooperative with TSA authorities who summoned the LAPD.
No big deal.
Moving along, we hope all the troops will give us a detailed account of J-Fed's bukkake party.

Trib said it was upgraded to a felony and he's sitting in jail now.
He was great in Get Shorty and those Miller Lite commercials. Too bad he wasn't flying with Snoop Dog or they would of had a good laugh and let him go.
Throw the book at him. He was a cop at one time therefore he should know the law in reguards to traveling with firearms.

Didn't the guy in "Get Shorty" say something to that effect to Bones, along the lines of his little semi-auto being the Fiat of pistols, always jamming and shit.
Then Ray, with pistol already in hand as the guy postures with his Magnum tucked into his belt, says "What are you, some sort of quick draw artist?" ;)
The TSA jagoffs will soon be sporting new police like uniforms with gold badges. The deserve exactly the same discretion from us they gave Farina.
