That being said, this is reality. Or at least, reality eighteen months ago when it was filmed around 102nd and State and posted for everyone to see. Who knows how many of these assholes are dead or jailed now. But it's the reality coppers face every day.
In broad daylight, these jagoffs are firing at least two guns in the alleys. And CPD will respond to these calls and chase these fools and might catch them and could find the guns. They might also get shot at or injured in the process. And for all the talk and bluster in the comments about laying down on the job, a hot call like this is going to get a decent response. They haven't quite beaten that out of us yet.

But you missed the best part. As Weis was talking this nonesense about identifying yourself on a traffic stop like the southside is the same as Kenilworth and how surprised he was that his edict was not an established policy, the camera hopped to a few different African-Americans in the audience. Some were chuckling and others were just shaking their heads in amazement and disbelief. If I ever thought to give Weis a chance, it was at that moment I truly did realize that Weis does not have a clue. Sad. SCC, please start the countdown meter. It will not be long.

It is a nice video but even with stuff like this recorded there will always be a percentage of the Public who do not believe that this is the truth. They will make excuses or out and out deny it happened. Think about when you first became the Police and friends and family asked for stories. There was always one liberal friend or relative who refused to believe a word you said. If they believed you it would ruin the way they looked at the world. I learned right away to stop telling Police Stories.

INFO FOR WEIS: Officers are USUALLY identified on traffic stops by the display of names and badges. If they aren't visible, maybe the watch commanders are to blame for allowing their troops to show up and leave the station without them (and let's not forget the Sgts. who are supposed to look over their troops as well).
So there's no need for this to be "written down somewhere" when everyone on patrol (in uniform) should have those items displayed on their outer garments. Tact & gang people should have a star visible. Marked cars have outside numbers clearly painted on them, and unmarked cars have visible plates. Everytime I'm at a 10-1 or similar incident, I see no shortage of people out there with pen/paper in hand, writing down names, star#s and plates of Squad cars.

The racial makeup up is about 97% white. there are a shit load of guns out here in my neighborhood but you wont find people robbing, raping, murdering, recklessing shooting them off. My Chicago neighborhood is predominately white and we don't have these problems.
I only wish the CPD officers in my neighborhood were even more aggressive with the young punks that are now trying to get into our neighborhood via apartment buildings.
That is what ruins most neighborhoods - apartment buildings where anyone can just move in.

For the record, "white" doesn't mean what the media thinks it means. The city classifies all Middle Eastern Nationalities as "white." Many "white hispanics" are classified as "white."
That's how they publish the "white" kids in Chicago Public Schools as 8% of the total.
The media likes to hawk "white" as European ethnicities, but if "white" actually meant this, then the actual percentage of "white" kids in CPS would be around 2% and the total number of "white" homicide victims would be less than 4.
