Wouldn't it be nice if even once a building to come in on time and at or under budget?
- Faced with runaway costs, the CTA and City Hall slammed the emergency brakes Wednesday on ambitious plans to build a "super station" in downtown's Block 37 to speed express trains to both Chicago's airports.
A combined $213 million has been spent on the project, yet there is not much more than a massive hole in the ground to show for it.
At least an additional $100 million would be needed to complete the subterranean station, the CTA estimated.
There goes our pay raises. How can the Feds not find where all this money went? Crooked contracts, subcontractors, short concrete deliveries, unaccounted for dump truck totals, there has to be a thousand ways to steal $100 million and this project is a primer on how things get screwed up in Daley's Chicago.

It's so obvious how the Mayor feels about the Chicago Police Department. He is continually throwing out money on every project under the sun for the city, some necessary but most not. Hundreds of millions everytime you turn around but never a contract for the police who have to live on table scraps and beg for a decent contract which is ALWAYS a couple years late and never enough or what it should be for the men and woman that are responsible for public safety and that lay their lives on the line each and everyday. Our Union sucks soo sooo bad. The Mayor sucks and while I'm talking about sucky people, Jody sucks too. Goodnight!

I know, it’s SHITCAGO...but I have several easy questions?
#1. Why do we never hold anyone accountable? I know we don't hold the citizens accountable for their acts because we would have equal taxes and good neighborhoods. I know we would have less crime and more shitheads in jail and stop the cycle of violence that permeates the city.
#2. How can you "BID" a contract, and when you run over and don't get the job done, you are not responsible? I used to GC. If I went over my contract, I was screwed. If one of my guys fucked something up and I had to send someone back, I had to eat it. Politics are politics, but there has to be a line. If you are going to reward one of you friends a fucking contract, they have to do it. They have to do it fucking right. It is a contract.....It is a legally binding written document that says the obligations of both parties...IE. City will pay for a building to these specifications in this time period and then the vendor will get paid this amount of money. That's it. How does the public not see this blatant fucking theft...It is so blatantly crooked it would be like a Reno 911 show. If you have a contract that says you have to build a safe Barn and the city pays you that are the contract. You can't come around 2 months later and change the price and say that it is or will be unsafe because you need another million. They spent 428,000,000 on a fucking park. I'm sorry, SOD is less than a .40 cents a square retail in large quantities. Other than that, they have thousands of City workers who can lay sod, do cement, do electric, do drywall, carpenters, roofers, plumbers, botanists, window guys, siding, engineers, etc...Not including the 354 lawyers that work for the city. How the fuck does a park cost 428 million dollars? Bullshit, that's how....God, I wish I could leave the City, keep my job, and keep the rest of the city from knowing that way I can not lose my property value because I would be upside down...Oh wait! All I have to do is get some clout and get my friend at IAD to "bottom" my file......(Put it on the bottom of the files going to the Sup on purpose. You don't want to burden the Sup and his staff so you can only give one at a time....(Not a rule----FYI)

'Everyone' doesn't.
Approximately 50%+ of the total number of city residents qualified to vote are not registered and, being not registered, are not allowed to vote.
Of the citizens who are registered, approximately 50%+ of those citizens regularly do not bother to vote in any given election.
That leaves 25% of the total number of city residents qualified to vote actually voting in any given election.
Since the most an Incumbent candidate up for reelection needs to win is 51% of the total number of votes cast, and that only in a one-on-one contest, 12.6% of the total number of city residents qualified to vote are all that Incumbents ever need, that's the most number of voters that end up being necessary to determine the outcomes of these elections.
It's not that a true majority of city residents are voting to reelect these rascals, it's that a majority of city residents aren't voting at all.
In any given ward race for alderman, especially in those wards where there is a large number of city employees residing, it wouldn't take all that many newly registered voters to successfully deny reelection to these Incumbent miscreants.
It would just take a determined commitment to elect anyone BUT the Incumbent.
For all the dissatisfaction that the members of the CPD are experiencing, there are more city employees who prefer to vote according to their own, perceived self-interests, than to vote to reform city government.
There is no IQ requirement to work for the city, unless it's in the form of a maximum minimum.

A private sector contractor would sell his first born to have one of these contracts, they're a license to steal.
Ever since Millenium Park, Mayor Mumbles has had a thing for holes.
He's figured out that digging in the ground on his projects increases the cost of the boondoggles exponentially.
As a result, where the 20-30% DKT (Daley Kickback Tax) would be obvious on a 10 million dollar project, he's realized he can more easily bury the graft doing 100+++ million dollar, square dance deals.
Thus, this CTA terminal scam ( they never planned to finish it. You don't dig a hole like that and then go, nevermind), the underground childrens museum and the soon to be announced underground city council complex.
As has been asked, where IS the outrage on the part of the citizens of this city and state and the federal investigation concerning the ineptitude and thievery on the part of Daley and the rest of the corrupt and incompetent Illinois political outfit?
I want to know where all the dirt they dug out of this hole went.
Did we pay one of Daley's insiders to haul it away and then turn around an pay them again for the dirt to use for pothole filler or expand one of Daley's beach scams er projects?
Nah, we're gonna pay the no-bid insider contractor to put bosses dirt back in to bosses hole (think Cool Hand Luke).

As I have said before, for a mayor who is supposedly known as such a "hands on" guy. Where nothing happens in his administration without him knowing about it, why does he all of a sudden become affected with amnesia whenever one of his cronies gets indicted or caught with his hands in the cookie jar?
As I understood it, these so called express trains were supposed to run on the same tracks as the local trains. How were they going to do that? Jump over the locals when they came up from behind or just shove them out of the way? If they were going to build new tracks that would have cost billions not millions.
$200 million for nothing but plans? And we are to believe the olympic budget? Has any major city project come close to the original estimate? Estimates and budgets mean nothing to this city. The oplympics will break the backs of this city. His cronies and friends will make millions with contracts, jobs and new housing. Resko and Vanecko made millions. Maybe his son will head the planning committee.

1. Where is all that money from the sale of the Sky way?

3. If the City is broke, where did it get money for a new CTA station?

Why are all the pickups outside that home have no city stickers but we are forced to buy and have ours displayed on time. the unit that writes sticker violators for the clerk worked for mick maybe Don Z the no balls assistant laskis friend who is head ticket writer could take care of this! Call this number 312-744-8590 and ask for the clerk and find out why she is allowed not to buy stickers or proper plates and why are all the trucks parked on the street overnight without a permit. They just did home remodeling no permit, guess the rats can do whatever!
There's a curse on that plot of land.

I think Chicago will get the Olympicis on account of graft.
The Olympic Commission has in the past shown it was susceptable to graft.
When writting letters to Switzerland I'd emphisize the shootings, the dilapedated transportation intrafructure and the lack of funding.
The Commission likely knows Chicago gets the Gold Medal on graft.
