"Reverends" Going Down?
Tribune article this Sunday morning:
Here's a question the Tribune fails to ask:
- The state is squandering taxpayer money on dubious after-school grants, including many that rewarded one lawmaker's political supporters, a Tribune investigation found.
- Powerful Senate Democrats quietly gave out the money to handpicked nonprofits, schools, businesses and churches. The lawmakers funneled the money through the Illinois State Board of Education, which rubber-stamped the choices.
But a Tribune investigation found that nearly half of the 48 groups that got money this past school year were running dubious programs, or declined to show how they spent the money. Only 11 of the grants went to established programs with a history of tutoring or mentoring school-age children.
Here's a question the Tribune fails to ask:
- What did Illinois state senator Barack Obama know about these crooked giveaways and when did he know it? And why does a police blog have to do the heavy thinking for investigative journalists? Again?

If the media thinks there's even a REMOTE possibility of the Messiah being tarnished, it will be put on the back burner.

A lot of relatives, friends and neighbors benefit big time from this relationship in exchange for votes. If you not in this click well your out of the click looking for work elsewhere.
As for the "political" police dept, here's another question for ya folks! Why didn't J-Fed place a retired federal lawman into the position of First Deputy Superintendent or Deputy Superintendent of the Bureau of Patrol?
A good reason being is these positions are held by key decision makers who determine the assignment and impact of the merit promotional process of all personnel assigned to the dept.
The First Deputy Superintendent's position is very political and designed by da mayor to be so. Ever wonder about that phone call remark so often heard? Yes many calls come in from many directions but they all seem to end up going through the First Deputy's Office. Sometimes a face to face with an alderman or political hack is necessary, due to federal eavesdropping.
Have you noticed a trend of First Deputies flying out of the 011th District lately due to the hiring of male white superintendents? Alderman Carother's ward just happens to be in 011. And Alderman Carothers often makes it a point that the Police and Fire Committee is in charge of the police dept. The same police dept that can't seem to get a handle on the "out of control" public violence and murder of children in Chicago streets.
Why didn't J-Fed assigned one of his FBI buddies to these positions? Maybe he was told not to dirty his hands by placing a retired FBI agent in a comprising position. After all do you think any political hack in this city would voluntarily meet to discuss job or promotional requests through a former FBI agent?
what ever happened to the 1.7 billion or whatever the total was from Daley leasing out the skyway. we still don't have a contract. hmm. but he sure has money for everything under the sun "other" than the police. the latest is 25 million to redue the fountain downtown. where is your priorities mayor dickhead

I'm suprized there is no mention of the protesters outside of operation push demanding the resignation of Jesse Jackson- I don't read the papers or watch the main stream media but I thought I would have at least seen a mention of it here.
It is totally unacceptabe when public money is given to these groups and there is no accountability where the money was spent.
As a self-employed, person I have boxes upon boxes going back years that contain records where money was taken in and where it was spent.
Where our politicians dole out our money to people and require absolutley no accountability on the part of the recipient to maintain records to show where the money went is a big sign it's a payoff and theft. Neither party in this square dance wants us to follow the money!
It should be the rule if you receive taxmonies and you can't account for it being spent on the intended purpose, the budget of the department or agency that distributed that money should be reduced by the unaccounted for amount.
It's pretty fucking simple.

They also have dual lighter adapters. One for the TV and one for the portable DVD player. It seemed like just yesterday when all we had was one blue bubble light and no a/c.
Wouldn't be the 1st time a "Reverend" went down.

The protesters were only there a few minutes. They had left before the sergeant arrived. The PO's handled it quickly and without incident.

The new cruisers allow you to stretch out completely and have a lumbar setting. The cup holders and dash settings are specifically designed for the robust officer. I was very comfortable. I have to give this cars overall nap rating 4 stars. Very quiet, fresh car smell, a headrest that I would put up against any down pillow. I never put it in drive to see how it handles or rides, hopefully I'll never have to. Stay safe and nighty night.

I made an arrest the other day but it was for domestic battery...I had too! But I'm soooo sorry! I just kept thinking how I was messin' up the stats! By the way, a district mourns. The only Starbucks on the mean streets of 011 (3350 W. Roosevelt Rd.) is scheduled to close.
Don't worry...."Dirty Red" will make runs to the one on Harrison & Plymouth Court, and snatch up a tray full of lattes for everyone
