Inspector Follies

Anyone else think it's about time the rank of inspector was eliminated? Two stories from the comment section:

• Big Bird has been in 021, 2nd watch. Interviews almost every officer at check off as to why they did not take their assigned lunch at the proper time. When told that they were doing this or that at their assigned lunch time or that they were not hungry at that time, W/C C.W. has them drop paper. She then pulls up their car on the computer and checks to see if they were down on what they claim on their to-from. Total bullshit. C.W. pulling the same shit in 021 that caused so many good officers to leave 005. Not only should she have been in the pokey, but she keeps her job and is promoted to the rank of Capt. in the C.P.D. Incompetence and corruption gets you advancement.

Leaving aside the fact that Cynthia White should be in jail for her antics before being caught dirty and being flipped to wear a wire, the other name attached to this pimpy action doesn't surprise us at all. And then there's this one:

• Ot. Anyone has info about the inspector in 18 who wrote up a po for being down on a job to long. The po got hurt in 10-1 and was sent to the hospital and the inspector wrote him up for that. If this is true the inspector wasn't on scene and must have been checkn his pdt from his house. Now who writes the inspector for false reports. Sound like a rule 14 to me j fed.

We wouldn't be surprised in the least to hear that this was another Big Bird caper. Might it be someone else? Sure, but the odds are against it. Seems like a Rule 14 violation should only be the beginning, but as everyone knows, bosses who falsify reports aren't held to the standard expected of everyone else.
