Poll Results

As of this writing, with around 2,000 votes, the poll results are as follows:
  • 7% - Yes
  • 93% - No
Based upon this poll, we'll expect J-Fed to be stepping down shortly. We hereby offer our services to the mayor, the Police Board and the citizens of the City of Chicago in finding an actually qualified candidate to run the Department properly.

Instead of running it into the ground.

OFF TOPIC, BUT...

Officer Ardelean is in the news again. Anyone got odds on whether or not J-FED recommends this case for "special attention"?

If Daley wants to balance the budget using parkers....

Somebody do the math. How may tickets would it take, and how long would it take?

OK $400,000,000 short. $60 dollar average parker? 25 districts running 3 watches 9 primary beats? Im thinking by 2012 we should have this problem solved!

How far off can quotas be? "Meter Maid" told me today they have been instructed to hit areas that use to be basically off limits ie. Police neighborhoods.

J-Fed was never a police officer and because of that he is not one of us and will never be part of the brotherhood. This is why it's so easy for him to fuck us over! He will never have our backs and it doesn't matter if he says he does. He has no connection to any of us and will burn any working P.O. if he can!

I think J-Fed read the poll results. There was a call on the radio of a man threatening to jump from a building ledge at 3510 South Michigan Ave tonight.

They gave the description of the jumper as a funny eyed, in-breading like looking creature who was wearing a spandex workout suit holding a laptop with the SCC website displayed on it. He was heard saying, does Botox splatter upon impact?

IOC votes are gathered one at a time, mostly on the basis of personal relationships forged long ago with committee members, who for the most part are former athletes or leaders of amateur sports organizations.

“The bid team from Chicago will be working alongside the U.S. Olympic Committee and national (sports) governing bodies and international federations to hone their message and introduce themselves and the Chicago bid,” says Dwight Bell, a board member for the 2002 Salt Lake City Games and member of the IOC evaluation commission for the 2014 Winter Olympics.

About 15 of Chicago 2016’s 65 staff members will be in Beijing, some staying the entire month. About 80 former U.S. Olympians are also on hand to talk up Chicago. Mr. Daley, in Beijing for the opening ceremonies Friday, returns to Chicago next week.

“It’s a chance to be here and learn about the games,” a Chicago 2016 spokesman says. “It’s not really selling. It’s more a listening and learning effort.”

There are swarms of Dept of Revenue people roaming through my neighborhood. Funny, I don't ever see them in the "dangerous" areas.

But then, I don't care. I park legally, I have city stickers on my cars. And the cars I see getting booted end up being owned by undesireables.

The only confidence vote for J-Fed that counts is the Mayor's. Here's something that can be fixed by us. The union offcers that did not qualify with their weapons. They should be voted out for their incompetance.

How many automatic warnings did the department send the union that the these officer's were not qualified? Were these officers carrying their weapons while knowing that they had qualified? We all know we must qualify annually. These officers are not ppo's. These officers should be punished by the department and the union. If these officers can't be competent police officers how can they be competent union officers. I have no confidence in them. These officers' incompetence is bluring the big picture, a good contract. These idiots can not do the simple stuff. Why should we trust them with the important stuff?

the two kids that died in the crash were under the influence. all the witnesses said that there vehicle went thru the intersection causing the accident. they failed to yield. all this media attention is about deep pockets. the family doesn't want justice they want money. the blame isn't the off duty officer. it's the deceased who decided to get behind the wheel. but the media wont tell you the deceased blood alcohol concentration. wouldnt be fair would it.

That is the best advice. Whenever possible, use non-street parking...if you find that you must do minimal shopping within our city's taxing area. Avoid the the tickets that come along with last-minute signage that gets thrown up strictly for revenue-generating purposes.
