Hmmm. Sneed hears rumbles a surprise police protest at City Hall is being organized. Complaints of low morale, outdated equipment and no police contract may result in a public outcry.
• • The big question: Will it take place before Mayor Daley returns this week from his trip to the Black Sea?
Whoever was using the blog comment section in an attempt to drum up support for some informational picketing or a wildcat protest never made the effort to contact us for support or even a post outlining what they were attempting to accomplish. So we have no idea what is supposed to happen or supposed to be accomplished. We're as interested as the next guy to see what's coming up.

Maybe Daley won't return from the Black Sea. He fell overboard and drown because his pockets were too weighed down by all the money he stole from the taxpayers of Chicago.
I would definatly go...i may only have 3 years on the job but am interested. is anyone really planning this and if they are when and where.

I'm not the original poster you're speaking of, but a great day to try to rally the troops would be Monday, November 3rd.
Any march should be Politically Correct. Don't go out bad mouthing everyone in Chitcago Politics, just drop hints big enough for everyone to form their own opinions...

SCC-Is there any form of protest we can establish to show our solidarity and our outright disgust with the handling of this now garbage department? You seem to be the only way for many of us Northsiders and Southsiders to communicate. I think with a little push from this blog we could probably formulate some way to show the public just how bad it has gotten.

Protest what? You get paid pretty good for the type of work you do. Answering calls, writing a couple tickets once in a while is not really a very physical job.
We are going to go through another election cycle without indictments coming down on Blago, et al. Just like the last time Lyin' Ryan ran. If the indictments came down for Blago, et al maybe the electorate could make an informed decision.

Post your home phone and cell phone numbers.
That way, when a citizen calls 911, the call can be forwarded to you, for you to respond to.
Call it the "Critical Mass Ride To Remember". Everyone brings a bike and they can bike from the F.O.P. hall to the Police Memorial Park ending at City Hall. Everyone loooves it when critical mass comes to town. Let's face it nobody stops them.
Who are you guys kidding? Last week everyone was posting the protest was on for the 8th of October...well today has come and gone.
All you bloggers are all talk and no balls. This rally is not going to happen because all you complaining dog asses are too lazy to get off your asses let alone organize a protest.
Don't get me wrong, I don't like the way this department and city have been run into the ground by J-Fed and Shortshanks, but come on, this is not going to happen.
So go out and do the minimum because that is something that is actually getting attention and actually working.

You know what is sad, when the Superintendent comes out to a district, unit, neighborhood, whatever, it is a big production. If he were a part of this department and really stood with the troops, if he were truly a part of the community, would we be going through this?
Also, he and Mike Masters really get a kick out of the troops, bosses, the community or whoever kissing his ass. MM is not the police, not even a native Chicagoan, knows nothing about being hte police other than the war stories he loves to hear, and is an arrogant asshole to most. We finally found one that is worst than Hubberman!! Hubberman, come get your friend!
How is it that the Federal agents JFed brought to Chicago, have never been a City of Chicago employee, they were the last one here therefore they have the least seniority and really are a civilian, how come they are not the first to go? Why is it that hundreds of families who have dedicated themselves to this city are being faced with no job? How is it that they can come in, all have pensions already so they have an income, and boot those city employees that without this job, their family has no income? Mayor Daley, how is that? Then to top it off, they make more money than every single hard working police officer citywide, even those with 30 plus years on the job. How is that?
